Udyr the bearmn is a melee hybrid fighter-tank.
Udyr can take on multiple opponents, chase them down with good run speeds and keep them buttoned with stunning attacks and on top of that he has good survivability.

This guide will help you get your on your way with udyr in dominion. Note that this build focusses on solo play with udyr, giving him much more damage, but less tanking skills. If you have a good team that already has very good AD champions, you might want to take more tanky items (Frozen mallet instead of entropy and Force of nature instead of sanguine blade, also a hextechgunblade instead of the sanguine blade gives him more survivability on his shield) to fulfill your role as a support tank much better.
Udyr is really a man of many ways, so try to find your own balance between attack speed, damage, lifesteal and health.

Notice that he needs different runes and items, for he is a jungler on classic which works much differently from teamfighting that dominion has.

In dominion, udyr works differntly from classic udyr. He has to build more damage in order to compete with other melee champions like xin and tryndamere, but also has to be able to be a late game tank. That`s why the runes focus on early game damage, with attack speed and armor penetration and the early game items do the same, whilest the late game items warmonger and armor give him extra high survivability.

udyr can perform two roles. He can be a melee fighter, or a hybrid tank. So 21/9/0 as well as 9/21/0 are good options.

I picked the first because i like to be of more offensive use, but the other choice is definilty as good as this one.

As i said before, udyr can be used in two ways. The attackspeed fighter, or the facechecking tank. Pick either the items listed above, or those in the introduction chapter.

You might notice that, as for any tank, not every build is the best one for each fight. So try to match the defensive items with the demands, counter their strongest players. Force of nature against mages or hybrids and thornmail + health against Attack damage hero`s.

balance them all out, with your W as mainly highest priority. If your opponents are all fast: skill E more, if they have a lot ad melee: skill Q and if they fight in large groups: skill R.

Udyr can ake any combination of ghost, fash, garrison and exhaust, depending on the needs of your team and your own gameplay.

NOTE: all of his spells can be maxed out to 5, so pick the ones you love thes best the most!

Monkey`s agilty
(Innate): Udyr's attack speed is increased by 10% and dodge chance by 3% for 5 seconds each time he switches stances. This effect can stack up to 3 times. Switching stances sets off a 1.5 second global cooldown.

Tiger Stance
Persistent effect: Udyr's attack speed is increased.
Persistent Attack Speed Bonus: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %

(Stance) - Activation: Udyr's next attack will deal magic damage over 2 seconds. In addition, Udyr gains an attack speed buff for 5 seconds. This stacks additively with his persistent attack speed bonus.
Cooldown: 6 seconds.
Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 Mana
Magic Damage: 30 / 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 (+1.5 per attack damage)
Activation Attack Speed Bonus: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 %

Turtle Stance
Persistent effect: Udyr's attacks cannot crit, but they restore a percentage of his damage as health and mana.
Damage to Health Restored Ratio: 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 %
Damage to Mana Restored Ratio: 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 %

(Stance) - Activation: Udyr gains a shield that absorbs damage for 5 seconds or until it has absorbed the full amount of damage.
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 Mana
Shield Strength: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+0.5 per ability power)

Bear Stance
Persistent effect: Udyr mauls his enemies with such force that they are stunned for 1 second when they are hit. This effect can only occur once every 6 seconds on the same target.

(Stance) - Activation: Udyr gains increased movement speed for a few seconds.
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 Mana
Movement Speed Bonus: 15 / 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 %
Movement Speed Duration: 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 seconds

Phoenix Stance
Persistent effect: Every third attack, Udyr engulfs the enemies in front of him in flames, dealing magic damage.
Bonus Ability Power: 16 / 24 / 32 / 40 / 48
Bonus Attack Damage: 8 / 12 / 16 / 20 / 24
Magic Damage Per Third Attack: 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+0.25 per ability power)

(Stance) - Activation: Udyr sends out pulsing waves of fire dealing magic damage each second to nearby enemies for 5 seconds. During this time Udyr's ability power and attack damage are increased.
Cooldown: 6 seconds
Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 Mana
Activation's Magic Damage Per Wave: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 (+0.25 per ability power)

Udyr is a very strong support fighter and can initiate fights and live. He regenerates life quite fast, he can absorb incoming damage and he can pin down enemies for a short time. Combined with entropy or frozen mallet, no enemy will escape from udyr`s claws.

Keep in mind that you are never a solo champion and that you are only as much a hero as the rest of your team, so always play together.
