Lux, lady of luminosity
Born to the prestigious Crownguards, the paragon family of Demacian service, Luxanna was destined for greatness. She grew up as the family's only daughter, and she immediately took to the advanced education and lavish parties required of families as high profile as the Crownguards. As Lux matured, it became clear that she was extraordinarily gifted. She could play tricks that made people believe they had seen things that did not actually exist. She could also hide in plain sight. Somehow, she was able to reverse engineer arcane magical spells after seeing them cast only once. She was hailed as a prodigy, drawing the affections of the Demacian government, military, and citizens alike. As one of the youngest women to be tested by the College of Magic, she was discovered to possess a unique command over the powers of light. The young Lux viewed this as a great gift, something for her to embrace and use in the name of good. Realizing her unique skills, the Demacian military recruited and trained her in covert operations. She quickly became renowned for her daring achievements; the most dangerous of which found her deep in the chambers of the Noxian High Command. She extracted valuable inside information about the Noxus-Ionian conflict, earning her great favor with Demacians and Ionians alike. However, reconnaissance and surveillance was not for her. A light of her people, Lux's true calling was the League of Legends, where she could follow in her brother's footsteps and unleash her gifts as an inspiration for all of Demacia. ''Her guiding light makes enemies weary, but they should worry most when the light fades.'' -- Garen, The Might of Demacia
Hey guys, this is my first build, and I hope you enjoy. To start, I play Lux as a dps/ almost carry, and this build uses that. If you play Lux as a support or don't tend to hold stacks, I recommend that you look elsewhere.
Pros / Cons
VERY long range
Lagre amounts of damage if used right
good scout w/ abilities
ultimate short cool down
no real escape ability
all skill shot abilities
My runes are fairly basic as a caster. magic pen marks, mana regen seals, flat mana glyphs. This is pretty standard, and I recommend it to almost all ap casters.
Again, my masteries follow an ap caster. I go 9/0/21 making sure to get magic pen in offense, and improved clarity in utility.
My items are designed to completely OBLITERATE those kinda squishy character late game. The catalyst helps keep you in lane along with your clarity. And as I said before Mejai's soulstealer will give you that crazy damage you need. NOTE: this build can still be used with Lux even if you can't keep stacks. I would just recommend substituting mejai's with something else like Morello's Evil Tome. If you follow this build, and you happen to find that certain champion that didn't stack MR that game, you can pretty much take them out with the old one two!
My summoner spells are clarity and clairvoyance. Clarity with the improved mastery can be really helpful to you and your potential lane partner. This can keep you in your lane, even if you spam you abilities like I do. clairvoyance is a wonderful "get sniped" skill. You poke the enemy champion until him/her is dangerously close to being dead. If/when they get away and start recalling, you can use clairvoyance to spot where they are and quickly use your Laser accurately to finish them off. Also clairvoyance is a great scouting tool, and stops bush whoring!
Well, this was my first build, so I hoped you guys enjoyed it! I know you probably didn't read ever thing I've written, but if you have, good on ya'! Lux is really powerful against those who don't expect her to do as much damage as she does. Her ultimate is extremely fun and useful, and she can easily help friend tear up the enemy.
