This build has great ability power, especially near the end of longer games, normally 950+.
With your ulti doing 1200+ dmg, to EVERYTHING it hits.

However you are incredibly squishy, so you are going to have to rely on your team-mates to do the initiating, then you unleash hell upon the enemy from afar, which is easy with lux's great range.

Essentially playing intelligently will maximise your destructiveness, and ensures you don't die. Don't go running into battles by yourself. I frequently end games with only 1-3 deaths.

Light binding is amazingly useful, stunning people at the turret/in AoE ulti's and I often use it to "initiate" a team battle from a distance. When one of your enemies strays ever so slightly too far, hit them with the stun and your team can go to town on them. Whilst you help out of course.

Early game try to hit enemy champions with an ability then a normal attack, the extra damage from your passive is great for harassing/killing. Not to mention last hitting minions for that gold.

Your ultimate is amazing, great for getting sneaky kills from the jungle, for vaporizing fleeing enemies, and clearing lanes of minions instantly (giving you lots of gold and xp).
The quick cooldown on it is very useful, i often use it to clear a lane before recalling back to base, buying my new items, then by the time i'm back its ready for use again!
I have even stolen Baron with it, it's the shizzle, so long as you can aim.

Flash, Ghost and The Zhonya's ring helps with your squishy-ness, if you get attacked by a Twitch or Shaco from behind in a team battle, pop the active on Zhonya's and your team-mates will help finish them off, and you can flash/ghost away from them ganks.

I'd recommend taking mid, I can usually hold off the likes of Ashe, Teemo, Morgana etc
Otherwise make use of the stun so your lane partner can help you get them kills, and lucent singularity is a great harassing tool.
Try to get blue buff whenever you can, the extra cooldown is very helpful.
You can also save your teammates from certain death with prismatic barrier and light binding.

You could get mejai's early if you think you are going to do well.. but this is not always a guarantee. Also if the game is a long one, you might consider swapping boots for another Archangel - i know - crazy. But you will be outputting insane amounts of damage. A void staff is another consideration, especially for damaging them pesky tanks. Otherwise just get them elixirs.
