In the early game, focus on poking down the enemy with your E and your Q. Try to play behind minions as much as possible until you have your W ready. Going in for a level 2 Q E combo can easily secure a kill for the ADC. Use your shield as often as needed to keep you and the ADC alive.

When you hit level 6, try not to use your ult to steal kills unless the ADC has no way of getting them. Try using your Q R combo to secure huge damage while the ADC can take the kill.

In teamfighting, it is crucial that you don't go on the frontlines. You are going to be very squishy and must stay behind the tanks if you want to have a meaningful impact on the fight. Look to use your E or Q on multiple enemies clustered together to secure a kill for your team. Use your Q R combo to deal damage or take kills. Use your Q on enemies that get too close for comfort. Your W is the most important ability in teamfights as a Lux support. With Athene's, you will be able to heal the first person hit by your shield, so make sure to target the lowest health ally if possible. Your W can shield the whole team, so be sure to reposition to get as many people shielded as possible.
