An other argument I hear from time to time about Doran's Blade is the extra 80 HP and 3% life steal for sustain. Well, that's nonsense! In the laning phase you deal way too less damage that you could heal up with 3% life steal. Don't get me wrong - that little dagger is a great item, when you stack 2 or even 3 of them at the right time. But it shouldn't be the start item. LOLOLOL. No I shouldn't be so harsh. The fact is were all human - I mean have health bars. When those disappear we die. Generally we don't want to die/we will die if we don't have enough health bars. Thats where Doran's comes in. To ensure we don't die. Once we have this covered were good to do whatever. No you will say NO BUT IM 2 PRO I NEVAR DIE. Thats true but you WILL exchange harass. Then you will die - if they took Dorans. Ok no for the life steal. From lvl 1 - 6 how much damage do you think you do to minions. Say just for teh lolz 1000 (20 minions x 50 last hits) ROUGH APPROXIMATION. Still 1000 damage means 30 health. Now when your max health is like 600, 30 health is not bad. Yes its not good but its not bad either. Basically DORANS GIVES YOU ADVANTAGE. Not any ridiculous OP win ability - just a slight advantage that will allow you succeed early then dominate late. Also with spell casters you gotta harass. To do that you need mana. No offence but boots and health pot on a caster is the most pointless setup ever. Basically that means you plan to stay out of range, take damage, heal it back and pay money for the health you are getting back. Its just no efficient and most casters are meant to be aggressive early game. I have exams and I'm really tired so I won't bother you anymore but theres some food for thought, yknow cuz nobody else has given it to ya ;) Clicking +rep has a 20% chance to give you 6-pack abs.
