i don't know about you, but i love Malzahar, and i main him and have played SO many games with him and i usually mid and own. Hopefully you will come to like The Prophet Of The Void as much as i do. Also on a side note, I want to say the thing i do that helps laneing phase alot is the use my Q 3 times before leaving spawn pool so my first CotV in mid spawns a voidling.

I like the basic magic pent marks, for obv reasons.

I prefer to slit it mp5 per lvl and flat mp5 so i have a nice early to mid transition for my mana consistancy in my seals.

I use half CDR glyphs and half AP per lvl so i get a mixture of damage and cdr

2 dorans rings first, cuz there very good, cheap items that are fantastic for early game. then i go into mp boots, ofc. After i rush a Rylai's for the tankiness and ap. finally go for a rabadoodles and a sheen for the auto attack after an ability and finish with a Deathfires and a lichbane. Possible alternatives are a Guardian Angels and A zonyas. I commonly get em if i need some more survivability.

Ignite - Great offensive tool for damage (pick up ALOT of kills with a malef visions and ignite combo.

Flash - Needed b/c of malz's lack of ingrated escape
