Hey guys, I've been looking at the Malz builds up on Mobafire, and I don't really like them, so I figured I'd put up my build for Malz and see what you guys think!

PROS:
Dominates Mid for Lane phase with help from early Catalyst and smart Mana play (Pro Tip: Farm Mana with your E!)
Can kill and control entire minion waves with E and Passive Minion used in conjunction! (stop your opponent from farming!)
Gets 3k Health and 100+ Resistances on top of over 500 AP!
Harder to kill = More effective DOT (Which means big Damage output from your E)
AMAZING Ult if used correctly (Use with E on them and Q under them, or if it just right situation in a team fight!)
If you take Ignite (I don't, but you might, remember you can cast it while you are Ult-ing without interrupting your Ult!) :)
Long slow with Rylai's on your E!


CONS
Needs to be conscious of Mana (you can't spam your moves, but luckily you can spam your E and W on Minions, as you get Mana back from your E!)
Slow...
Your Ult can be interrupted...
You will be focused A LOT (Play Safe!)
YOUR MINION CAN GIVE AWAY YOUR POSITION!!! (little ****head...)

Runes are pretty basic:

Magic pen for Malz is A MUST due to his DOT, thus Marks and Quintessences are Magic Pen!

Magic resist is all I bother with on Glyphs and Seals. With the new nerf to MR runes and buff to AP runes we'll see how effective AP will be on Glyphs, and maybe Seals!

Pretty straight forward...

Here we go! NO TEAR OF THE GODDESS????? Yeah, I don't find Malz needs it. I you get the Catalyist early enough with 2 Dorans Rings, and you farm mana effectively from minions whenever you get a chance to tag a wave of them, your fine for mana. With that, you can focus on being a little defensive while also getting some crazy AP and damage!

This build ends you off with a little over 3k health! (ROD OF AGES and RYLAI'S)

108 MR, 128 Armour!

And over 500 Ap, plus your Elixirs!

You're going to be hard to kill, especially if you play SMART and use your Ult in good, safe situations! (as opposed to BAD, UNSAFE and overall DUMB situations!)

E FIRST! LVL 9 doing 350-400 damage with that E! It's a Beautiful thing!

Your Q next, can kill entire row of minions, and mess people up!

E is last. It's good, but not as useful early as your other moves!

For Mid (which you should be) I like Tele and Flash. I suppose you could use others, but these will help you dominate middle if you are winning the early lane phase (which Malz does most of the time!) and maintain the lane if you are losing :(

I enjoy an AD champion who attempts to 1v1 me with this build - DONT RUN AWAY (as long as you know its 1v1, and you HAVE YOUR ULT) take a bit of a hit while you POP EVERYTHING in descending order: Q W E R. Let them stand on your void, with your E and Ult slowly draining all their health.

OH, you didn't kill him/her? Pop Zhonya's Hourglass to CD your moves!
