This is my first build on Mobafire mostly because I have just been too lazy to make one. But i finally found a build for Maokai that I couldn't help but make one because it shows consistant and consecutive wins. Ive found many times being able to 1v3 and 1v2 many teams

P.S- The Leviathan in the build sequence is optional and can be traded for Zhonas Hourglass or Frozen Heart. Ive gotten this build to work so many times that I could get 20 stacks easily every time.

If helping a jungler start at blue, place saplings from 1:25 and keep using them, you should have three before it spawns. This gives a big boost to somebody having trouble in the jungle or help counter jungle.

I choose these runes because 1. My tank page is unfinished 2. Mao needs early health and armor
The attack speed boost given from the marks was accidental but I found it helped with the passive in team fights greatly, so that he could auto attack each time it was ready.

The masteries make up for Maokai's early game small mana pool and tanking abilities. So early game he has high hp regen and good harassing ability.

The item build gives him sufficient tanking ability and also enough ap to at least do some damage, you will fine you will be in the middle of most fight while in your ult. That's why sunfire is great.

I used to run Ignite and Clarity but then i needed an escape or a good initiate so i got flash. I also stopped using ignite because my laning partner usually uses it and i rather not steal the kill. Clarity is a must and you can't play without it. Early game you must fire as many saplings as possible so that the enemy can't push your turret. At level 4 your saplings should be able to take out the last 3 mage minions, use that to farm.
