Okay so before I unlocked Panteon I loved to play as Master Yi. He is amazing for an aggressive player like me, he has strong attack and can have incredible attack speed if you by my build!

So I guess i'll start by explaining his abilities. First you have Alpha Strike, with this ability Yi jumps into a battle leaping towards the target, however he will also attack any other champions or minions near by your selected enemy target. So by nature this abilty is ideal for farming.

Secondly we have Meditate, which is a great ability in it's own sense. It heals Yi through an 8 second cast time in which you can't move or it is halted. Though it doesn't have much use until later in th game. This isn't something you should really focus on.

Next up is Wuju Blade. This is a great powerup abilty, it temporarily increases his attack damage by about 20 points and should almost always be chained with Yi's ultimate ability which inceases his attack speed a great deal. This combination will secure you many, many kills.

So now that i've explained his abilities pros & cons it's timeto explain to you my strategy when I am playing with Yi.


Early Game

I try to be a bit aggressive and attack with my team for a gank or two. Rush through the enemy's with Alpha Strike and once you have locked on to the right target (preferably the member of the opposing team who decided to be alittle brave and stray from his group) then just let Yi follow him and let him automatically attack them as they both run. (Alpha Strike originally has about a 20 second cooldown at the beggining of the game)


Mid Game

Try to focus alot on getting your build. If you have strong attack damage and attack at high speeds Yi' defense will not matter as much. All I can say is don't be afraid of the easy kill and constant ganks.


Late Game

If you've had a good game and have a good game then you should be incredibly powerful and your team can rely on you to quickly destroy turrets.
