Sorry i must ask, but it is because i dont know the potential of AP yi, and have not yet met him ingame.

I play mainly play Yi, always AD. As the Hack-and-Slash Yi is incredibly strong, and easy to play.

The item build for this build seems good for AP Yi. But what i see in AP Yi, is that he has 18 sec cooldown on Alpha Strike (17 with this build), which is a long cooldown on his main ability. Then he can meditate incredibly well, which ofc is good. But Wuju style and highlander is not so good with the low damage and AS i guess?

Please explain why you prefer him over AD Yi :)

Funny you mention HotshotGG, I got the inspiration for this build from his videos and noticed there wasn't a build like that on this site yet so I decided to make one.

This is a very similar build to the one HotShotGG uses :) Nice job.

Thanks for the feedback, sheen first could be good in certain situations. but one of the great things of this build is that you can deal damage without ever being in a position where you can be attacked. Getting sheen would force you to attack your opponent after alpha striking or activating wuju style, which would mean you have to alpha strike to the enemy you are going to attack. If you alpha strike to an enemy minion, hitting a champion with the alpha strike but appearing at the minion to never be close to your enemy is the main way to push lanes with this build. The extra ability power from the blasting wand that leads up to Zhonya's is very nice to beef up those alpha strikes. Your normal attacks will not be doing a very significant amount of damage since you did not level wuju style and have no armor penetration. At the time that you would buy sheen if you got it before Blasting wand you will probably not yet be in a teamfight situation, but farming minions and pushing lanes hard with your high damage alpha strikes.

Good build, but i think u take sheen before u get zhonya's ring, no? it can help u more at start, since it costs much less and that ability that give u 2x damage just rocks!
