Welcome to my first Build on Mobafire, I Play Yi as my main Carry. The reason is with Yi's speed and life steal it makes it almost impossible to solo him. Plus he can backdoor. I hope you enjoy my build and I hope it helps you to a better Yi Experience.

PROS:

Massive Amounts of Damage
Easily Backdoor
Fast movements around the map
Fast Farm
Awesome Late game Carry.

CONS:

Squishy
Can be stopped by team when backdooring
Early Game isnt so great.

You want mainly Attack Damage Masteries because today we will be building an AD Yi. Yi can be played as Either AP or AD but I prefer AD. It also has 9 points on armor to help you in those tough situations in your lanes.

Exhaust

We want Exhaust because when your enemy has too much speed for you early game you can slow him down to finish him off. It also helps when you are being chased around late game.

Ghost

We want to use ghost for more movement speed on Yi. With a Highlander and Ghost combo you will be blazing across summoners rift catching any enemy you go against.

A Unique think about this build is Backdooring. Backdooring is when your team distracts your enemys while you take out the turrets on top or bottom lanes. With this Yi build backdooring is very easy. You can start your backdoor once you buy your first Zeal. After you get both your Phantom Dancers you can just breeze through the turrets. But be careful the enemy can come around and easily take you out.

The skill sequence is a bit strange but you mainly want to focus on your damage here. So we max out Alpha Strike first for the damage when you go in. Next we max out Wuju Style so that you have that extra physical damage to take down whats needed. Wuju Style also helps alot when you are Backdooring.

With the above items, Masteries and Runes you should be able to backdoor and easily destroy any enemy turret. Once you have your first Zeal you should be able to begin your backdooring. But it gets easier and easier with the more attack speed + Damage you have.
