Introduction
Tank masteries are by far the most amazing way to go on Mord. They make his shield take more of a punishing so less damage hits your HP, and at the same time greatly improve his laneing early game. And as for late game... Well lets just say the enemy better not get the delusion that the can kill you.
So most people would recommend that you get Merc Treads on mord, and for heavy CC team I would agree, but in my opinion the best way to go are Boots of Lucidity. The added CDR lets you spam your E and Q so that your shield stays up. This is crucial for Mid to Late game so you can tank longer and still throw out the damage to help your team.
As for the Crystal Scepter, well it should be pretty self explanatory. This lets you throw out the AOE CC that Mord lacks yet so greatly deserves, and the best part is, you know that nice, long DOT ulti of Mord's? Well Rylai's Procs slow on every tick of damage from it. No escaping you now. ;D
By this point you should be building into either Thorn Mail or Force of Nature depending on the enemy team composition. Now Some people say that for a heavy Melee DPS teams you should drop the Force of Nature for more armor, but i disagree. Even if the other team is solid dps, most every champ in the game has some signifigant magic damage (not to mention the possibility that they buy Madred's Blood Razors.
A lot of people laugh at the thought or buying Frozen Heart or Banshee's Vail simply because of the Mana inclusion. This is where I find that riot has forgotten about us HP or Energy users, but in the long run it makes no real difference. These items are used Simply for the Magic Resist/ Armor and even more so for their passives. The extra CDR from frozen Heart on top of the Armor Helps your shield stay up longer and again, take more damage. And the slow on attack speed helps your team's Squishies stay alive longer also.

Siphon of Destruction is by far your best friend. It gives you lots of shield on top of harass ability and later it gives you a nice AOE slow. You want to focus on your Creeping Death last simply because its not very effective until you get your Crystal Scepter, when it the also becomes a nice AOE slow. As for Mace of Spades, well, if you like to be able to punch solo targets square in the face and laugh, then this is a fun little skill to use. And even better, its great for farming minions early and even into mid game. Grabbing your Ulti at all major land marks is sort of a no brainer.
