Introduction
(Sorry for poor quality on pictures below)
As for runes I like to go with Greater Mark of Insight (Marks), Greater Seal of Warding (Seals), Greater Glyph of Celerity (Glyphs). And for Quintessences I used to go with the Greater Quintessence of Swiftness for some movement speed, but now I go with Greater Quintessence of Potency (Flat AP) to boost early game abit.
First I start of by buying the Doran's Shield. I go back to base once I have 1000 Gold to buy Ninja Tabi (Very good item if you are laning against AD champs) And to buy some health pots and wards to help the team out. After that I farm minions (and champs). When I have enough gold, or atleast 1100 (for the Giant's Belt) I go back to buy either parts of or the whole Warmog's Armor. Warmogs Armor is great in early- and midgame because of all the hp it gives and the healt regen.
After having bought the Warmog's Armor I save up to get the FoN (Force of Nature), and then I get Hextech Gunblade to start getting some AP. It is also a great item when chasing someone.
At this point you should start thinking about getting more AP, and for that I get Abyssal Scepter (Randuin's Omen is also a very nice item if you meet a very AD heavy team, but you will lose some dmg).
If the game goes good, and it lasts long,I sell my Doran's Shield and buy a Rabadon's Deathcap instead. So if the game lasts long, and you have a good game the items you should end up with are: Rabadon's Deathcap, Ninja Tabi, Warmong's Armor, Force of Nature, Hextech Gunblade, Scepter, Abyssal Scepter (or Randuin's Omen if meeting AD heavy team).

As for summoner spells I like Flash + Ignite. Flash because it is great to escape with, and ignite because ignite + Children og the Grave = Heavy damage.
A nice idea is to towerdive (if target has lower than 20% health) and pop your ulti + Ignit and flash back out again. You won't lose any hp because you have your shield up (hopefully) and you flash out before you run out of shield.
Teleport is also good instead of flash, lets you farm alot.
