Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello there! My name is Siktransit, and I'd like to share with you my Mordekaiser build. This build has done wonders for me, and I can only hope it does the same for you. In this description, I will teach you how to own a game and almost guarantee a victory.
Lots of Health
Hits hard while taking a ton of damage
Can solo any lane
Shield is great for tanking
He's relatively slow until you get FoN
You may get frightened playing him
Item order and Gameplay
This is very important with Morde. I put my Item build up, but those are mainly core items. This is how you start.
Pick a lane, any lane. Solo mid? Sure. Have a jungler on your team? Take the 1v2 lane. You are a beast. Soloing should not be a problem for you. At the start of the game, pick up a Regrowth Pendant and a Health Pot. This should last you for quite some time. Don't worry about playing too aggressive, because you can. But do not get out of your comfort zone. Morde is very bulky, but don't overestimate your burliness, atleast not this early in the game. So level up, and as soon as you have about 1460 gold, you should recall back to base to pick up a Giant's Belt and Boots of Speed. Run back to your lane and continue to dominate.
By now, you should have racked up a couple of kills or assists. Great! You should also have your Warmog's Armor and Sorcerer's Shoes. Now, you should work on building your FoN. Force of Nature allows you to regain a lot of health on the move. Another perk of this item is the large amount of Magic Resist it has, as well as the movement speed. Personally, this is one of my favorite items on Morde, because the added speed allows you to chase down enemies, because you lack any CC abilities.
** Next you should figure out what you want to do for your team. Is the enemy team full of physical damage? Get a Sunfire Cape. Are you fine with what you're doing now? Get a Rylia's Scepter. It all depends on how you feel. Personally, I enjoy getting a Rylia's for the added Ability Power and the slow, allowing me to catch up to enemies fleeing the battle.
Congrats, you carried your team so hard that you made it this far! Now, you should have your Abyssal Scepter and your building up your Guardian Angel. Relax, if you don't finish your GA its okay, I rarely get it built unless the game reaches 50+ minutes. But if you do, feel free to get it as well as all three Elixirs. It's always fun to have a huge white-ish aura around you while you charge through the battlefield.
Using Your Ultimate
So with the recent changed to Mordekaiser's abilities, I think I should share with you a few tips on using your ult. First off, for starters, if possible, ALWAYS use your ultimate with ignite. Just like your ultimate, ignite is a DoT spell (Damage over Time). This will almost always ensure the killing of your enemy, even if they have heal, because of the 50% healing/regeneration debuff.
I hope this build helps you in your quest to master Mordekaiser, the Master of Metal. Feel free to comment this and tell me what you think/how you played! :)
