Dr. Mundo Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
So basically, I watched this video by Veruda88 on youtube, and I personally think his TT build is very good. My main purpose in creating this was to see what people think of this build (I frequently hear "lol Warmogs rushing, baaad Mundo" even when we're owning). I realize in general, Warmogs isn't a good item, but I believe this build/champion is one of the few exceptions to the rule.
If you have the right Masteries/Runes/Ruby Crystal, at lvl 1, you should start with 907 health. This is enough to make you a beast tank at lvl 1, and with cleaver you can do some mean damage.
With this build you're the tank. You get in their faces and cleave them. Chase them from your base to their base, slowing 'em and pounding 'em all the way. Block skillshots for your team, try to make them focus you, etc. With the changes to the Ult, you should be pretty much unstoppable again by level 11.
With ghost, NO ONE can escape you. If they pop their ghost, pop your ult. What, pop my ult to chase?! Its on a ~45 sec cooldown. It will be back up when you need it again. Chances are if you're chasing, you aren't full health anyhow. You get 300 gold and heal up at the cost of a 45 sec cooldown. Worth it.
Exhaust lets us gimp the other team's strongest AD. I love seeing a Xin Zhao come in thinking he's hot **** getting me half health, and then exhausting him and ulting. Good bye Xin, good bye rest of his team.
Mundo's cleaver is pretty simple. I mean, it's a skillshot. Either you can do it or you can't. If you can't, DO NOT PLAY MUNDO. Either that or play some non-ranked to get a feel for it. The actual cleaver is pretty small, but you can hit things that are slightly above and below the cleaver. It may take a few games but you'll get used to it.
There are two things to know about the burning ring of death (Burning Agony). 1) It reduces CC time. With treads/Agony, you're pretty much immune to CC, so make sure you activate this during team fights, and when you expect CC to be thrown your way (like when escaping). Also, this does a **** ton of damage to their team. By the time you have your Warmogs and/or Spirit Visage, you should be able to leave it on for long periods of time while taking very little damage. Between this and a sunfire or two, you will be a beast amongst beasts during team fights. But make sure not to use it when you're low health or trying to escape. If you turn it on while running to reduce CC, be sure to turn it off afterwards.
Masochism isn't that great on this map. You get one level at 2 just because it can give you a nice damage boost when youre low/about to ult. Masochism -> ult -> Someone just got baited.
Sadism. Level 6 is a little underwhelming after the change, but its still very nice. This is what alows mundo a beast. Run around and do wtfever you want and succeed.
You get the boots you need for the map. I put treads in because many times you'll need them. If you're not worried about MR/CC then get the Tabi for dodge. Tabi will also help your move speed because of your defensive talents. If you're dominating, swiftness is a good choice, but only if you're dominating by the time you buy them.
Many times you will go for two Sunfires, but if they are a heavy AP team, don't even bother. Get a FoN or a Banshees instead. Getting one at some point might still be a good idea, sunfire plus agony equals pain.
So, this is my first guide (using Veruda88's build). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, how do I link skill/item icons directly into my build?
