Introduction

Hey, this is a pretty standard build and setup, it just works amazingly so I wanna make sure that it gets out there.

Runes

Marks: Magic Pen, to make sure your vorpal blade says "Hey don't think you can just ignore me" especially in the laning phase.

Seals: Armor, because it just hurts less when you have some leather on, instead of just cloth.

Glyphs: Magic Resist, when feint alone isn't enough to keep that annoying poke from hurting.

Quints: Health, I run them on everyone. EVERYONE, because there are countless times when I will walk out of a team fight with sub 100 hp, and it's all thanks to them.

Masteries

Pretty standard tank setup, with some ap and magic pen from the offensive tree. Defensive Mastery and Harden Skin are a personal preference, I usually see people with two points in Harden Skin instead.

Items

Doran's Shield to start with because the stats are just amazing for anyone, and the health regen lets you stay in the lane pretty well. Force nets you some sweet regen that will stack well with the rest of the items as you get more health. Sunfire is there so you can farm minions, since Shen has next to nothing when he is hovering around 50 energy. GA for mitigation and the lucky getaways. Randuin's and Banshee's are interchangeable, and should be gotten on a priority basis, depending on the opposing team's make-up.
