Introduction
chaser/dmg dealer. So you want to know how to play him? Well your in the right place.
In this guide ill teach you how to build him, what runes to pick, nice strategies as well as thoughts and ideas in ways to improve.
The runes aspect of this guide focuses around Armor Pen,Attack speed, and Health. this allows you to make your early game easier without sacrificing to much lategame either.
To achieve this I use
(flat armor pen) These allow me armor pen shine early game bypassing quite alot of armor and dealing a ton of dmg.
(flat attack speed) I use Attack speed seals to complement my early game attack speed. These can also be switched out for Flat health runes if you feel the need.
(flat attack speed) These are what i use for glyphs, there not great but seeing as how health or dmg/crt dont work well here, attack speed is my last option.
i just love the health (flat out health quints)

Masteries are debatable by how people like to play there hero. in my masteries i like to take
23-7-0 This allows me to grab full ranks in attack speed and armor pen. as well has get to the bottom of the tree for the 5% without sacrificing the crit or dmg. this can be adjusted to your liking how ever. i then take 7 into defence as utility is not needed to much going only half way in. and your quite squishy.

My item build focuses more and being able to take down just about anything you come across, this means however that you must play smart.
by taking afirst you gain a nice attack bonus as well as some armor pen and some reduced Cd's this quite a good bunch of stats for so early in the game. we then rush tofor the attack speed and movement speed, this will allow you to get in and out of battle as well as make a chase that much easier.
From here people might speculate why i have opted to choose ai do this for a few reasons, as an auto attack champion as well as a great chaser you will be using skill with cool downs that don't scream madness when it comes to lengthy Cd's so in turn grabbing a Sheen will allow you to throw out some additional dmg when coupled with your Ultimate.
After finishing sheen you rush to finishNow i wont get to much into this item as im sure you can see why i have got it, how ever a word of warning to you all. USE THE ITEM ACTIVATION. This is highly important, the amount of times this has saved my life due to the extra run speed, and the attack speed it gives is almost sickening.
The last thing ill point out isThis is a Situational item, it can also be replaced withboth are very good items, SOTD will allow for good dmg as well as unblock-able attacks, where as SF will give Life-steal as well as Armor pen. if you find your self needing more survivability then grab SF, otherwise either is fine.
Other then what is shown here, the last two items are your choice, i opt to choose. but this can be replaced with
The last item also situational. i chooseonly because if i happen to get this far its because I'm dominating anyway, why not throw in some overkill
So the Core would be
This is the core though i recommend the rest as well.

The Skill Sequence is quite easy to understand but let me explain some things first
Umbra blades is his passive. every 10 seconds his auto attack turns into an Aoe attack with improved dmg and a flat out life steal depending on the amount of enemy's hit. the cd is reduced for every auto attack made within the 10 seconds.
Duskbringer is a skill-shot nuke, in its wake it adds a patch, while on this path Nocturne receives increased movement speed as well as attack dmg. hitting another enemy player with this skill makes the player leave the trail in his/her wake as she moves.
This skill is your BnB, will be maxed first, though be careful not to get spam happy with it.
SoD, is a Spell shield like ability similar to Sivirs, the only real difference being that it gives a Passive boost to attack speed, and instead of mana being regenerated the passive speed is doubled when ever you successfully block a skill.(for a certain time)
Uh, is a target ability that places a Dot(dmg over time) on the target that runes of 1:1 ability power, if the enemy is within range for to long the skill will then end and will fear the enemy for a short time.
Paranoia is Nocturnes Ult, This allows him to shroud all enemy players in darkness removing all friendly sight from the map and there screen from outside there vision range, Casting it agian within the time frame of about 4 seconds allows Nocturne to fly to an enemy champion within range to deal dmg. the range grows with each lvl of the ult. *enemy must be in view to attack, as you must click them*
As for the sequence, i said earlier that it was quite simple, you take 1 in all levels then max Dusk-bringer. after dusk-bringer you then opt to max unspeakable horror, saving shroud of darkness for last, the reason for this is 1 point into SOD, is enough as after the initial point it dose not upgrade well enough to be priority over unspeakable horror.
