Introduction

hello Guys :) this is my first build in MobaFire and i think you will like it :)

First of all Lets see about Nocturne's Advantages

1: Nocturne is a great assassin and a FULL DPS player.
2: He can go Solo Lane almost with all enemy players, Even Warwick.
3: Noc's Ultimate works as a quick path for Noc to kill low life enemy champions and help in teamfights when he is in a distance and gank enemies for sure kill ;)
4: Noc is also a good farmer Since his great passive Umbra Blades

Disadvantages

1: Since the double nerf Riot did on Noc Duskbringer and his Ultimate deals less damage.
2: At early games it is easy for Noc to get killed since he has low life so thats why you take Vampiric Scepter as first item and Armor Runes.
3: Also at early games Noc deals a poor amount of damage but thats ok cuz of your armor penetration runes and the "Sure kill combo"
4: Noc's Mana goes away easily so try to use it wisely ;)

Patch Notes

Here are some changes to Nocturne, sorry that I don't give information what patch it was, but I simply don't remember <sad face on>

* Duskbringer attack damage bonus reduced to 15/25/35/45/55 from 20/30/40/50/60
* Unspeakable Horror
o Cast range reduced to 475 from 500 and leash range reduced to 550 from 600
o Fixed a bug where breaking the leash near the end would still trigger the fear
o Fixed a bug where adding a spell shield like Banshee's Veil while Unspeakable Horror was on you would block the fear effect
* Paranoia range reduced to 2000/2750/3500 from 2500/3250/4000

Patch 1.0.0.118
* Duskbringer damage reduced to 60/105/150/195/240 from 60/110/160/210/260
* Paranoia
o Damage reduced to 150/250/350 from 150/300/450
o Fixed a bug where Paranoia caused a hitch the first time it was used

How to get a sure kill!!!!

Well... Here is the combo for a sure kill with Noc

When you are in a 3v3 solo lane you can wait your target into the bushes and take a sure kill with this abillity sequence...

First then you start chasing your enemy doing if the enemy has a stun abillity you can use to counter his attack and increase your damage. Then if you let your target with low life and he goes on turret use and THEN RUN!!!!!!! :P.

Nocturne gets cuz it is a great item for early games giving Noc damage, lifesteal and armor. It also has a very useful active which is a ward. Use it in your advantage. You can put it in front of the Lizard and then you don't have to worry about ganks or you can put it in the jungle. Now if You notice an enemy in the jungle you can immidiately KILL him. Lets see how

First then then and you are done ;)

Tip: In teamfights. NEVER FOCUS ON TANK!!!! and never do your combo on a tank. It is just useless and you might get killed. Oh and use your Summoner Spells :)

Abillities

Every 10 seconds, Nocturne's next attack strikes surrounding enemies for 120% of his physical damage and heals himself for 15 / 20 / 25 per target hit. Nocturne's basic attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second.

Umbra Blades: Just a great passive that causes a lot of damage to enemies on 1v1 Making Noc a hard opponent to kill, great farmer and great jungler

Nocturne throws a shadow blade which deals physical damage 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+0.75 per bonus attack damage), leaves a Dusk Trail, and causes champions who are hit to also leave a Dusk Trail for 5 seconds. While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and has increased Movement Speed 15% / 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% and Attack Damage 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55.

Duskbringer: This is the basic abillity for a sure kill. With a big range and a lot of damage (thats why you have to finish this abillity first) Noc hits his target leaving behind him a dusk path which allowes Noc to chase his enemy with increased movement speed and attack damage.

Nocturne empowers his blades, passively gaining attack speed 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Activating Shroud of Darkness allows Nocturne to fade into the shadows, creating a magical barrier for 2 seconds which blocks a single enemy ability and doubles his passive attack speed for 5 seconds if successful.

Shroud of Darkness: A great abillity that can counter every Abillity and every Ultimate if you activate it on time. This abillty's passive gives Nocturne a bonus attack speed which is very useful in early games since Noc's items are a little expensive. Countering an abillity Nocturne empowers his blades and his passive attack speed for 5 seconds

Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing damage each second for total 50 / 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 (+100% of ability power) over 2 seconds and fearing the target for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds if they do not get out of range by the end of the duration.

Unspeakable Horror: Great abillity for chasing an enemy. It causes damage every second and if the target don't get out of range for 2 seconds it puts a nightmare in his mind and then the target is feared allowing you to cause damage undisturbed.

Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision for 4 seconds, this includes champions, minions, wards and towers. He can then launch himself at a enemy champion with a large range 2500 / 3250 / 4000. Deals 150 / 300 / 450 (+1.2 per bonus attack damage) physical damage on arrival.

Paranoia: Noc's Ultimate. Great to surprize and killing low life enemies. With an ultra big range it is great to get involved in teamfights which you are far away from. It also has a great effect, It reduces enemy player's sight disabling them of seeing their allies (if you play with enemies unexpirienced on enemy Noc it drives them mad ;))

Team Work

This is REALLY important for Nocturne

First let tank initiate ,then teammates. When they initiate you spam your Q to dmg enemies. When someone is low or running your time for ult!Get him and fear the carry!Or if you want to engage earlier (but still wait for a mess to happen or you will be focused earlier in game with no tanky items) go for their heavy AP guy or for the one that is most squishy (they usually deal the most damage). When you are far away and teamfight begins use your ult to come into it (Use ghost if available to get faster)
You will see range of your ult when coming into fight by holding mouse on your Paranoia skill.
You can backdoor too using your Q (it increase damage on turret) and your Ghostblade for AS (Plus passive of your W).
That is pretty much everything mid to late game (also always do dragon and lizard whenever you can!)

Unique Skills

Noc's skills are all really unique and good for chasing/disabling someone

His Q is really good for chasing down and pretty nice aoe + passive dmg

His W is really good spell shield (Karthus will cry you a river!)

E disables carry in teamfights so he can't do damage for 2 seconds (for that time you kill him)

And finally ult can cover you while you are backdooring, can make you be in teamfights and hide your team's escape routes!

Farming

Noc's farming is really easy, just go with Q and get in the middle if minions and use your passive. After it just auto hit,you will have passive again...Noc is a grate farmer!

Skill Sequence

This is your skill order for jungle.

1.Q
2.W
3.Q
4.E
5.Q
6.R
7.Q
8.W
9.Q
10.W
11.R
12.W
13.W
14.E
15.E
16.R
17.E
18.E

You are taking you Q first cause it gives you the most damage and passive damage while on it.
Now some people say to maxout E first...That is not good. All you get with it is Fear duration and a bit of damage, but slow is still the same,so you better take your W for passive attack speed. You have solid damage with your runes and items you will get,so attack speed is all you need, and you don't even have to buy it thanks to your W!

Summoner Spells

Your standard picks should be Flash and Smite

If you don't like Flash here are alternatives

Ghost-Good for getting into range of ult when needed earlier in-game,good escape.Still I prefer flash.

Teleport-Good for backdoor, but then you have no escape abilities

Heal-You can take it,but not so good

Ignite-You can take it too,but you will not find your enemy surviving your ganks very often with low hp...And no escape abilities again so not recommended!

Clairvoyance-Don't take this if you don't know how to use it very well,it is good combination with your ult,but it is not escape ability! ^^

Nocturne's skills and some ways to use them

Umbra Blades

Your passive. It charges up every 10 seconds making your next basic attack deal bonus damage and do aoe damage too.It gives a bit of lifesteal too...It is really good jungle tool when combined with "Duskbringer".

Duskbringer

Nocturne throws a shadow blade that deals damage, leaves a Dusk Trail, and causes champions to leave a Dusk Trail. While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and has increased Movement Speed and Attack Damage.
Nocturne throws a shadow blade that deals 60/105/150/195/240 (+) physical damage and leaves a Dusk Trail for 5/5/5/5/5 seconds. Enemy champions hit also leave a Dusk Trail.

While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and gains 15/20/25/30/35% Movement Speed and 15/25/35/45/55 Attack Damage.

Cost
60/65/70/75/80 Mana
Range
1200

This is Your most important combat skill. It deals solid amount of damage and makes enemy leave a "Dusk Trail" which will make you move faster behind those enemies and you will come in range of your "Unspeakable Horror" for fear. Also bonus damage is pretty handy!

Shroud of Darkness

Nocturne empowers his blades, passively gaining attack speed. Activating Shroud of Darkness allows Nocturne to fade into the shadows, creating a magical barrier which blocks a single enemy spell and doubles his passive attack speed if successful.
Passive: Nocturne has 20/25/30/35/40% bonus Attack Speed.

Active: Nocturne creates a magical barrier for 2 seconds, which blocks the next enemy ability.

If an ability is blocked by the shield, Nocturne's passive Attack Speed bonus doubles for 5 seconds.

Cost
50/50/50/50/50 Mana
Range
20

This is a skill you should use after casting "Paranoia" to absorb the first blows that enemies usually cast in fear, example when you are trying to get Lux,she will firstly cast binding, you can block it and gain your attack speed to get her down faster while she is affected by "Unspeakable Horror" and "Duskbringer"

Unspeakable Horror

Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing damage each second and fearing the target if they do not get out of range by the end of the duration.
Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+1) magic damage over 2 seconds. If Nocturne stays within range of the target for the full duration, the target becomes feared for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s).

Cost
60/65/70/75/80 Mana
Range
475

Your chasing tool that can make teamfights turn around. When ganking use it as leash...It slows and later fears and deals little damage too!In combination with lizard buff it is great CC.

Paranoia

Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision for 4 seconds.

While Paranoia is active, Nocturne can launch himself at an enemy champion, dealing 150/250/350 (+) physical damage.

Cost
100/100/100 Mana
Range
2500

There are a lot of ways to use this skill. When ganking from jungle, when initiating in late-game teamfights,to hide your team (cause it gives enemy no map vision) when escaping or destroying fortifications!Uses are limitless,be cleaver when using it!Also it can be used as in-battle blink,if you can't kill someone 1v1 without it feel free to use it,tho you will suffer cooldown!

Nocturne's story

Before Nocturne, people believed that dreams were figments of their imagination, meaningless images that flashed through the mind when one slept. This belief was put to the test when a rash of sleep-related incidents started afflicting summoners of the League. Some would wake up screaming, terrified and beyond consolation. Some could not fall asleep, slowly going mad as the nights ticked by. Some simply never woke up. Physicians were baffled until a Field Architect happened to pass out next to a nexus on Twisted Treeline. Witnesses said he cried out once and then stopped breathing. Immediately after, magical energy arced out from the nexus, and Nocturne appeared.

Nocturne did not take his introduction to this world kindly. He slaughtered everything he could find before summoners were able to magically confine him. After a period of intense study, League experts divined that Nocturne hunted summoners in their sleep, attacking them in a place where their magic was useless. This seemed to be his only purpose. The families of the victims demanded justice, but League officials were concerned that death might only return Nocturne to the place from which he came. They bound him to a nexus fragment, trapping him in the physical world. As punishment for his crimes, they allowed summoners to call upon Nocturne in the League matches, bending his will to the summoners he hates and creating his own personal nightmare. League scholars don't know whether he truly came from the plane of dreams, or whether there are any more like him. Some theorize that the summoning act affected summoners' subconscious minds, luring Nocturne to them in their sleep. Perhaps the most disturbing theory is that Nocturne is a person's nightmare come to life. If this is true, they wonder, who is the dreamer?

''The darkness is closing in...it's pitch black now...but I can still see him...''
