This is a build for players who are looking to play Olaf as a DPS hybrid tank.

I recommend playing Olaf as such because of his ability Vicious Strikes

The upcoming item's are my default for fighting a team with Physical Damage Attackers. (Jax, Ashe, Twisted Fate, etc.)

Items you will be using:

Frozen Mallet

Berserker's Greaves

Last Whisper

Randuin's Omen

Infinity Edge

Warmog's Armor

*NOTE: The following items will be used in every match, regardless of enemy team: Frozen Mallet Warmog's Armor Infinity Edge

If the enemy team is very caster heavy, or you are personally having trouble with a caster, I recommend the following changes to the items:

Last Whisper swaps for Wit's End

Berserker's Greaves swaps for Mercury Treads

Randuin's Omen swaps for Aegis of the Legion

Alright, let's get started! (Walkthrough based on my default anti-physical attackers build)

The first thing I buy right at the beginning is a Long Sword, as this will later be used to make Phage. I also buy Undertow as my 1st ability for good damage harassment early game.

If you have a good enough lane partner and you 2 get there fast enough, you can get some kills before the minions spawn using your Ignite and Exhaust at the right times.

After getting enough money, go back and buy Phage, but do not work toward the Frozen Mallet quite yet.

Next, keep farming, killing, etc. until you have enough money for your Berserker's Greaves, keep following the Ability guide for what abilities to buy and when.

After you get your Greaves, go back and finish up the Frozen Mallet, now you have some good health, attack power, attack speed, and movement speed.

Next start building Last Whisper for even more attack speed and armor penetration (stacked onto your Runes and Ultimate's passive).

Now that you got your goodies, were going to go and get some more! Start working on Randuin's Omen by building the Heart of Gold, and then the Warden's Mail.

Now with more health and defense, you are a well-endowed tank at this point, more so than a DPS (for now) but you still do an incredible amount of damage because of Olaf's 2 abilities: Reckless Swing and Vicious Strikes.

Now that we have enough health to last us for awhile, lets work on our attack strength which could be better.

Start working on Infinity's Edge because, well, it's Infinity's Edge....it does work, that's all there is to it. After obtaining it, you should be hitting like a truck now with your attack speed and armor penetration stacked onto the crits.

Now just to add insult to injury, start working on Warmog's Armor because you don't already have enough health, and because of all that extra health this beauty gives you, Vicious Strikes is now even more powerful than before.

Co-ordination with your team mates is a must, people!
Remember, even if you are doing really good at some points in the match, do not forget to coordinate attacks with your team and to help them out when in need.

My only quarrels with this build I have here is Olaf is considerably slow and has difficulty chasing opponents down, even with constant harassment from Undertow.

Thus, he is built for TEAM FIGHTS and TOWER DIVING/ BASE PUSHING.

Attempting to Gank with this build is not recommended, as he is easy to get away from.

Thank you for reading through this guide and I apologize for any Type-O's and the lack of picture Icons to help guide through this.
