This is my first guide so go easy on me. Ive done alot of games with olaf and im gona take some screen shots and post them.

This guide is made to be a helpfull Olaf with your W and your E and to hur*** well with your Q.

If you dont know what true damage is for your E, It pierces through your opponents armor. so it does direct damage. Which is very good.

Desolation marks are absolutely amazing. thats about 15 armor pen at lvl 1. If you wana take something else be my guest. but these are the best runes for olaf.

Health seals are beatifull on olaf to make sure he has enough early health to use his reckless swing as much as he has to.

Magic resist glyphs are to give you that extra mmmmmmph to make sure you survive from those evil casters.

And desolation quints are for the same reason above.

I chose 21/0/9 just like everyone else cause there one of the best ways to go for a AD

The items are a bit more complicated. You can start off with a Dorans shield/sword or a long sword with a health pot. I wouldnt take anything that has to do with mana cause olaf has no mana problems at all. The bruitalizer is an amazing item for such a low cost. cooldown reduction to use your abilities a bit more. It adds more armor pen, and a decent amount of damage. Frozen mallet is your main item. It gives you an awesome amount of health. decent damage, and a slow. What more can you ask for? Bloodthirster is an amazing item to give you more damage and enough life steal to stay alive in those team fights. Combined with your W do have a ton of lifesteal and damage. Black cleaver gives you decent attack speed. Great damage. and a passive to rip through those annoying tanks like Rammus. Warmogs and atmas are a great combo to give you more health and damage.

The skill sequence I chose is to max out your E for those pesky tower divers or to finish someone off. But dont use it to tower dive. Then focus on getting your ult whenever you can. Get enough points in your axe to hur***. and enough points in your w to stay in a lane.

Pros:
Decent hur***
Survivabilty Strong even at low hp
Brolaf skin is awesome
Hard to tower dive.


Cons:

Can be focused down in team fights.
Item dependent.
Slow jungle.
Easily countered.

Flash has got to be the most overused and best summoner spell (until fizz patch is released) and its a very good spell.

Ghost is amazing combined with your ult. If you get ganked and your brought down low and cant do much. Use ghost + your ult and you just fly out and nobody can stop you.


Others

Cleanse. If you feel like having another chance to remove another cc. go ahead.

Ignite. If you feel like finishing off someone and dont feel like shooting your axe or tower diving. Go ahead.

Exhaust. If you dont wana take ghost or flash. Take exhaust and remove the point from ghost and put it into here. Exhaust is an amazing spell to ensure a getaway. help a teamate. or chase a enemy.

The most unique skill olaf has is definitally his passive. 1% attack speed for every 1% of your health missing. Which is why olaf is hard to tower dive. Throw your axe. Use your w. (use ignite or exhaust if you have it) and make sure your safe and secure a kill.
