Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello and welcome to my first build! :)
I am swedish so pardon me if i miss spell something :)
Olaf was the first and only champion I wanted to buy, since I'm born in Finland a raging viking seemed perfect for me.
Pros and Cons
-Good survivability (with the lifesteal and ulti)
-More AS the lower on life you are
-True dmg ability!
-Long ultimate duration and kinda short cooldown
-Not a good initiator (unless you use ghost)
-Not any good escapes (ghost FTW?)
-No CC abilities
I pick 21 in offense. Iv'e seen most olaf builds have 21 defence but i don't think you need that because with your lifesteal and massive amount of health+ ofc your ultimate will help you stay alive alot!
Why I use ghost is because olaf is not very good at initiating. You can't just run up to ppl. And also Olaf doesn't have any escape tools so it's good for that to.
Exhaust is good if your chasing ppl. It can also save you if countering for example a fed yi.
The top ranked builds for olaf iv'e seen are more into survivability. I figured why not try lifesteal+AS. Cause of his W ability he gets some extra lifesteal+dmg. And his ultimate?! Dammit ppl he gets almost invincible from that one!
Theis a item that you can switch to many things.is good for heavy melee dps teams, for heavy caster teams and if you think you don't have enough ASis also something good.
Also! Many Olaf players chooseinstead ofand the reason is pretty clear, shorter time on stuns and slows. In my world I think it's not worth to take since you have your ulti to stay out of those stuns.
This ability will make 1v1 sooo easy+ with lifesteal it will be very hard to get you down.
Olaf throws an axe into the ground at a target location, dealing damage to units it passes through and slowing their movement speed. If Olaf picks up the axe, the ability's cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds.
Olaf throws an axe to a target location, dealing 65/110/155/200/245 (+) magic damage to units it passes through and slowing them by 24/28/32/36/40% for 2.5 seconds.
If Olaf picks up the axe, the ability's cooldown is reduced by 6 seconds.
I had some problem learning this ability because i was throwing it to short and my aim was bad with it. When chasing try to thow it far in front of them to be sure it hits, when you are chasing just pick it up again for reduced CD. I also use it to harass early game. It scales with your AD so your W ability will also scale with it. In 1v1 fights i also throw it straight in front of me, this will make you able to pick it up just by standing still and it till increase your dmg output. I also use it to lower creep waves health late game.
Olaf's attack damage is increased, based on his health, and he gains massive lifesteal and spell vamp.
For 6 seconds, Olaf's attack damage is increased by (12/18/24/30/36 base damage plus 0.3/0.6/0.9/1.2/1.5% of his max health). While active, Olaf gains 9/12/15/18/21% lifesteal and spell vamp.
This ability is the cause i don't use too many AD items. The AD bonus scales with your health so with this build i think the bonus AD will be about 100dmg. This will make it easy last hitting creeps. The lifesteal bonus is a plus to your survivability, this will make it a piece of cake killing Golem and Lizard. Also note the spell vamp, this will give you hp using the Q ability and E ability.
Olaf attacks with such force that it deals true damage to his target and himself.
Olaf deals 100/160/220/280/340 true damage to his target and inflicts 40/64/88/112/136 true damage to himself.
This ability rapes donkey*****. True dmg FTW. It's good from early to late game. That's why i pick this ability first of all. So easy to get first blood. I mean cmon 100 dmg at lvl 1 is so nice :D. Always use this ability against every1 in fights! the dmg it does to you is so small it doesn't really matter. It doesn't scale with anything but it's still the nr 1 priority ability after ulti
Olaf is immune to disables, has increased armor penetration and reduces incoming damage.
Active: For 5/6.5/8 seconds, Olaf is immune to disables and reduces incoming damage by 25/45/65.
Passive: Olaf has 10/20/30 increased armor penetration.
His ulti... It's like tryndas except he isn't invincible but it has some serious dmg reducement and he is also immune to disables! Use it when getting ganked and when entering batlles. The passive ARP is just a bonus to your awesome dps :D.
How I play Olaf
Ok first of, Olaf isn't rambo and with this build you just can't run in and kill every1. Play smart for better outcome! use common sense!
I hurry to my lane, always a 2 person lane. If you find some1 jungling on your team, don't make them come to the lane. Let them jungle cause they will be an asset to your team later on. When you find yourself solo just stay back, avoid taking dmg. If you are with some1 else, try to pick a CC laning partner. This will help you getting kills alot!
Ok so you got first blood or not, doesn't really matter longer into game. Just start last hitting minions and if the enemy comes close use reckless swing, belive me, it will scare them away! Also use your undertow to harass. You should be able to stay in your lane till lvl 6 doing this.
Ok you got your stark's ready and working on mallet. When mallet is done you should be able to kill some1 very easy. It will help you get continious blows on them even if there running. Your basic skill combo is ghost-ulti-vicious-reckless-undertow-spamspamspam vicious + reckless + undertow. This combo is almost alway enough
