Hey its Nephio Here Teaching you the way of Olaf.

Hey guys its nephio here. To start off Olaf is by far one of the strongest tops I have ever played with and can give some pretty frustrating situations for the enemy team. Olaf does not only tank effectively but can also chase extremely well. His Q provides a very strong slow at max rank and to top it off if you pick it back up its reduced the CD to be thrown again. His ult also makes you immune to stuns and disables like Zyras root, Kass silence, Teemo blind and shroom, Slows and many other effects which are core things for the enemy team.

Olaf Tops dominace

Olaf is a very strong top lane champion with the ability to do a huge burst of true damage with his E and harassment and farm with his Q. Olaf also has one of the best ults in the game combined with ghost allowing him to ignore all disables and gain a small MR and Armor boost, and with ghost proced you can easily rush behind the enemy to burst down the AD carry. Not many Champions can counter a well played olaf Teemo among them. If you do have any issues with champions such as Yorick, Darius, or Teemo one or two ganks top lane can fix that. If your jungler refuses to help you under any situations the best you can do is rush a Philo for the Mana regen and farm with your Q.

Olafs Overall Gameplay

Olaf is a champ that is quite easy to learn but hard to master under the right situations. A well played Olaf can take tons of damage in a team fight and poissbly die in the proccess but do to much damage to the carries so that they are disabled for the whole fight. Just remember that as an Olaf it is okay to die for your team and dont be afraid to initiate under any circumstance taht you know you have a chance to win.

Chasing

Olaf can became a very strong ganker and can keep on a target on almost any circumstance. His Q slows a ton and can be picked up soon after for yet another toss and mixed with ghost and ult they do not stand a chance. I would not recommend however getting to confident as Olaf can only take on two Champs that are decently fed at the most. Anymore and it may be a good idea to ghost ult out to save yourself from death.

Mid-Game

Olaf is meant to be moderatly tanky at this point making it obvious that you are not to be messed with. It is at this point taht you should start team fights and focus down there ADC or stall them while your team gets into position for their spells. Also at this Point you should have your boots and two GP5 items to help your income. If you can get a Giants belt to start a mog's or start on Randuin that is even better.

Late Game

Late game you should have at least half the build and choose the priority targets like Mog's and Randuins over BT if your team really needs an Initiator. The enemy team should also be fairly afraid of you at this point and as such you should push upon it. Another strategy you should use at this point is that if you have the whole enemy team occupied at one lane sen another equally strong but good pusher to a seperate lane to make more progress. As olaf you should also be scaring the team even under their own tower late game.

Reasoning behind the items.

Merc treads- Even though you have your ult more often than not their team will have someone smart enough to cast CC on you after the ult meaning the tenacity from the merc treads and MR are a well paid bonus.

BloodThirster- In a team fight you will be losing your health fast but a well farmed BT Mogs Ran and W will easily restore a ton of HP back along with your passive which will help increase your attack speed to double the Lifesteal.

Wits end- The wits end will add to your attack speed helping your W in its lifesteal and base
damage gain.

Warmog- This is to make you more beefy to gain those extra hits and health Regen.

Randuins omen- This gives a huge boost to your armor and its active helps increase your stats during the teamfight.

Force of Nature- It gives MR move speed an Life regen through combat... What tank wouldn't want it?
