Spells:

LoL Summoner Spell: Exhaust

Exhaust

LoL Summoner Spell: Ignite

Ignite

Introduction

This is my first build here on Mobafire and it's my standard Olaf build.
Olaf is the first character I got from the shop and I'm mastering him at this fase.
I got my build ready now for ranked plays so I will update you guys on that ASAP.
I played lots of games with Olaf with my pre-made team and he owns at least 80% of these games.

Olaf is a typical melee damage dealer. Olaf probably has the highest HP-damage combo of all of LoL. Another build that is pretty good for Olaf is his Jungle build.

However I prefer to use Olaf as a character that puts all of his power into damaging. So this is not the build if you want to be an Off-tank/jungler.
This is the build for SICK damage. With this build you'll feed yourself.
Another great thing about the build is that it gives you a BIG chance to control the game from begin till the end.

Undertow/Zone control

Most of you probably wonder why this spell had it's own chapter. Well I find Undertow Olaf's ¼ber ability. As a skill shot it requires some practice, but it's a zone control, AOE, offensive and defensive spell in one!

Once Olaf get's level two you HAVE to take this in this build. (no jungler so vict strikes are less important.) It can give you complete zone control.

How?
- damages all minions ==> pushing enemy hero's back
- damages Hero's ==> try launching some unexpected. It happens alot that you can hit one of the enemy hero's + some minions, because lots underestimate Undertows range and damage.
- Very good skill to use from the Bushes.

If enemies know how Undertow works / are ranged it still gives control by killing minions and giving you fast money.

Reckless swing

This ability can change games together with Ulti/undertow/vict. strikes.
I often see the situation where I need to retreat and an opponents hero is charging me. I kite him around a little with my high damage undertow and then : BAM Reckless swing comes in. Combined with the other abilities (especcially end game when you have a crazy amount of life steal) 1v1 gets easy.

Summoner Spells and Runes

(under construction)

These spells and runes are purely based on my offensive play style.

Spells can be tweaked I also use an Ghost build however with Neutral minion buff/ulti/undertow I found Exhaust better for higher damage on start/support kill.

Ignite is purely for sneaky kills/start damage.

Runes could be maxed out on Armor penetration. However combined with Olafs ulti passive and item tweaks you'll have a BIG armor penetration. So I chose some extra crit power.

Pros / Cons

PROS:
-early game advantage
-Lane/Zone control +
-Highest damage output
-1vOlaf/2vOlaf = easy win end game
-High gold income

Cons:
-Squishy in big group fights.
-High stacked armor tanks will ask tweaking in item build
-Tryndamere Endless rage is an complete killer in this build ==> no life to steal+survive = dead Olaf. I often use ignite to counter it, but works only 50% of the time well.

Items

We start with the extra crit item.
Together with the masteries and the rune build this will give you an crit of around 16%.
This combined with Olaf's armor penetration and extra crit damage will give you an huge amount of damage in the starting phase. together with the 2 abillities it gives an big chance on first blood/first kill in your lane. Especcialy together with a good support character or a stunner/ranged.

Next are the boots. Always take boots if you go buy anything and then take the increased attack speed.

We also took the beserker gloves to get a fast Zeal. Now you have movement advantage in combo with undertow. to almost EVERY hero.

Upgrade Zeal to P Dancer.

Now it's time to get infinity's edge. Once you get this item. You will have some points in vict strikes. This boosts up your survive with increased life steal.

now get one or two Vamp Scept. ==> if you have enough money go straight for bloodthirster.

Once you have your first bloodthirster you can do several things.
1. You're the strongest on the field/in team ==> you are save to continue and take 2 more bloodthirster
2. There is an worthy opponent depending on what kind of character it is you should take an armor penatration (one Black Cleaver in combo with rune mastery and ulti passive should do the job.) or if it's an HP-tank take Madrd Bloodrazor. With casters you could take an Wits End sixth item Bloodthirster
3. You have an stronger opponent(s). Do the same as with 2 maybe an sixth item focussed on those stronger hero's.

It's important to notice that this ammount of life steal is Olaf's defense combined with ulti or vict strikes.
This makes it better sometimes to keep hitting an enemy, thus healing yourself. instead of running and taking enemy damage.
End game you're probably strong enough to get into some 2v1 brawling, maybe splitting them up with undertow.
On rare occasions when the enemy is very weak or I'am overfeeded. You can choose to jump in some 3v1 (if enemy is ******ed 4v1) with ulti. Your ulti makesyou immune to almost all CC thus giving you the chance to hit the enemies and healing yourself.
Squisy caster types are easy prey. 2/3/4 hits (depending on opponent build/hero) and they are surely dead. then you can jump to the melee/tank opponent or some other hero which is hanging around.

Conclusion

I hope you guys try this one out.
I'm still kinda new to building these things here, but I just had to share this one.
It's my favourite and completes and balanced team.
It's a build that can litteraly OWN a game!

Have fun NUKING ;)

Team work/Extra

This is a little personal chapter.
My team mate is an Sona and I think this Olaf build really combines very good with an support character.
It gives Olaf the chance of spamming his Undertow making the enemy hero CRAZY!

Other combo I tried was with Morgana. It was playable too, but more squisy.

Squisy caster types in combination with Olaf require a lot of attention on your teammate, but with your undertow skill that wouldnt be too big of an problem. It can be handy to lure the enemy to you too!

Combinations with tanks are not my favourite. It askes you to play around him. He is the center of your attack.

Last but not least is a combo that most of you probably wont expect, but it's an Olaf/Pantheon combo. I really like this one because of the extreme zone control with undertow and Panth's Spear attack. Also the Jump/stun of Patheon gives a very nice and high chance of killing the enemy soon fast and smoothly
