Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This build is based on the upgrades to Heimer's Ult which works with all his abilities now, as well as the upgrade to his turrets allowing him to store them (like Teemo's mushroom's) and place them when needed.
Would like any feedback on this build.
CORE ITEMS: Sorcerer's Shoes, Arch Angel Staff, Rabadon's Deathcap, Rylai's Crystal Scepter
* your boots can vary depending on the fight. but i normally get Sorc. Shoes for extra Mag Pen.
* Rylai's Crystal Scepter will help you to get away or when chasing (it's especially helpful when ambushing from bushes with some turrets set up). Plus it also gives you a nice HP boost.
*Arch Angel Staff and Rabadon's Deathcap are your mana and AP boost's. These are needed for spamming abilities and assuring some nice damage.
>Zhonya's Hourglass is key to getting nice turn around in some fights. (ie. getting chased: run to your set turrets hit Ult., Hourglass [let turrets do there thing], grenade, rocket, finish enemy off or get away from slow). Plus is gives Heimer some armor which helps out +AP.
>Abyssal Scepter has some nice Mag. Res. +AP, and the passive allows for better combo with Hourglass and you turrets.
** this item build is mainly to allow Heimer to survive better in team fights or when having to solo. It increases your survival chance and allows you to spam some of those abilities which you all know you want to do. **
I chose to work on turrets first and keep everything else balanced because you will be using your turrets to take down towers a lot. Plus they will be a big help for those team fights. This is also a steady source of dps on your part for fights in general.
remember that with the your Ult. you can spam rockets and grenades do clear out minions on one lane while leaving your turrets in another. (also late game is when you have the most team fights when you will be using rockets and grenades more)
PLAYING THE MATCH
EARLY GAME: (LANE) stick to your turrets and try to bring the fight to you. If your in a lane, let your partner take the lead and follow his lead. Try and set up turrets in bushes when moving back and forth and in your blind spots where you might get ganked from.
(MID) basically play Defense, let enemy be aggressive and u just sit tight and let them try and push. If they taking out your turret fast then set them a bit further back until level 5. At this point you can start holding off until you have both turrets ready and drop at the same time so that it is harder for enemy to take out your turrets so fast. harass with rockets and grenades if enemy pushes you too far back.. dont want them taking out yout tower (and remember you got clarity to spam your skills).
MID GAME (LANE): at this point you should have your tear and sorc. shoes. see if your needed in other lanes and set up your turrets for defense at the lane you were in. (never leave your partner without some help). You can place them either in bushes or my towers. when you go to other lanes to help just spam rockets and grenades, use ult if needed for the fights as that's what its there for. Let other team mates go buy and get HP and mana.
(MID): pretty much the same thing. set up your turrets for defense and try and help other lanes. remember to try and have ghost up so you can always sprint back to mid and defend as needed.
LATE GAME: At this point you should be in team fights and you should be seeing some nice kills and assist rack up. If you see lanes getting close to home, just go to the lane clear set defense turret and continue.. always try and have 1 free turret to place else where in case u need to do same for another lane. If your team is pushing a lot then use turrets for team fights and set them behind you for defense. If other team starts to do to much damage on fight your team can fall back and rely on your 2 turrets to give cover fire and possibly change the tide of the fight (also helps to prevent some nasty ganks from behind).
> don't chase and try to stick close to your turrets
> if your gonna leave the safety of your turrets or tower, assure your have at least 1 turret ready to go.
> your turrets can take out a tower fast. save them to drop 2 at a time with your minions.
> when in team fights, save ult for when there's more than 4 enemies or for falling back. You'll notice that it can change the fight pretty quickly.
