What about Zhonya and guinsoo's rageblade? Is it a good idea to build them?

Abyssal Mask is viable on this certain way of playing Tahm Kench.

Absolutely right; the new version of it is quite nice for what Kench is about. I'll be doing a full pass update over all my guides in the near future. Just graduated so my time has returned.

It's a nice way to build and I agree that it is an optimal way to build and play Tahm Kench.
People get often confused when I build like this and deal a lot of damage.

Though this build was really creative, there is a better alternative to this. Instead of committing a whole build into making this work, you can just buy Mikael's Crucible and proceed building full tank to retain your utility. Mikaels provides slow immunity which cleanses the slow entirely for 2 seconds (basically the whole duration of devour).

what about 15%cdr glyphs and 1 5% cdr quint? along with abyssal that's 30% cdr which is more viable imo.

I think the bigger question is, to what degree does Kench need that CDR?

I think like most tanky'ish builds, more CDR isn't as useful as more tankiness, since more survivability means being able to get off more rounds of spells than the squishy consequence of more CDR.

This is especially true since Kench doesn't have abilities that really get tons of extra usage out of CDR. Pretty much only the Tongue Lash benefits from it, since Devour is on such a long CD even with CDR, it'll be unlikely to get off any more uses of it without durability.

Hybrid CDR Tanky items like Spirit Visage and Abyssal can still be nice because they provide for both.

Any youtube video's of this game play? I am interested in seeing it, got side tracked viewing your twitch channel when I saw vel koz. Ahh

Glad Vel'koz was able to entertain at least ahah. I don't currently have any videos of the playstyle, but I hope to one day get some for each of the Optimized builds. That project is still a bit off though, just because there are so many guides and I'm so short on time :(

The damage dealt chart at the end of the game warms my soul.

Possibly! There's a lineup of two other builds right now though, but once those are over, we'll see what's next!
