why build a infinity edge and why dont you build a tear before you grab your black cleaver so your manamune is stacked faster?

I've taken on-board the advice about Veteran's Scars , but I'll have to disagree with you concerning maxing Spear Shot initially. I'll start by saying that there are some situations in which I max Q first, mostly when I'm countered or just having a hard time sustaining my lane. However, if me and the enemy are evenly matched or I counter them, I find that maxing Heartseeker Strike first gives me much more damage output as my enemy can't do much about me going in on them with Aegis of Zeonia. Maxing Q first also means that my mid-game suffers, as Pantheon's E suffers massively without levels and if I max Q first, I find that it's all I'm able to use to do significant damage until after champion level 13. You're also forced to spam Spear Shot if you max it first in order to keep your damage output consistent, which causes Pantheon's infamous mana issues. All in all, though a first-maxed Q may seem like the obvious choice during the laning phase (and is if it's a hard lane), maxing E initially frequently gives me the extra force I need to actually secure kills rather than just deal damage over time.

I don't roll Frozen Mallet because it doesn't work as well with this build as it does with most Pantheon builds. This build focuses on offence more than many of the somewhat tankier builds that you see, meaning that taking Bloodthirster instead gives me more than enough damage to begin dominating the mid-game, which is where Pantheon excels. I've put FM in as an alternative item, though, for those Panth players who just prefer tankiness to damage.
