Would it be better if you ran 3 Attack Speed Quints since the passive would be active more often?

Sharpaim,

It definitely would be viable to run 3 Attack Speed Quints. However, I feel as though having one Attack Damage Quint is more practical since you are building tank and only one damage item. You passively gain attack speed with Shroud of Darkness also.

There are more than one viable rune setup, it's all up to your preference, play style, and what you find is strong. If you have a rune setup that you find works really well, let me know! I'll try it out!

Ahh, thanks for taking the time to explain it to me. Now I'm starting to wonder if I can change out Bladed armor on other junglers ive been trying out so far, started with udyr, then got vi, i wanna try shaco but my gank awareness needs a lot of work and i hear hes best when you focus more on gank/counter jungle. Then decided I wanted to get all the jungler champs first, or at the least the higher tier ones. But now I'm rambling all off topic lol. Anywho I look forward to reading up on your mastery explanation when you get it added in.

Since you don't have a section explaining the masteries, I noticed that most other jungle builds take Bladed Armor in the second tier of the defensive masteries but you didn't, may I ask you to elaborate a bit on that? I'm still kinda new to jungling and trying to perfect it as it's quickly become my favorite role, so I am trying to learn everything I can about it all.

Knucklz,
Glad to hear your getting into jungling! It's certainly a vey fun role and the jungler is often times the deciding factor in a game. The reason that I don't take Bladed Armor is because instead of spending a point on a mastery that will only help with your early jungle clear, I would rather spend it on a more battle oriented defensive mastery, such as Juggernaut or Veteran Scars . Bladed Armor is a good mastery on junglers that have a really tough time clearing the jungle early on. However, Nocturne is not one of those. The heal and AoE damage from his passive Umbra Blades and the fear from Unspeakable Horror allow him to clear the jungle with ease. For example, one game I noticed that the other jungler only cleared his blue side jungle and was just messing around trying early ganks that were never going to work. So, I cleared my entire jungle and then his entire red side jungle with Nocturne all without backing. If I remember correctly, I think I only used one Health Potion too.

Thanks for taking the time to read my guide and pointing out that I in fact do not have a section explaining masteries! When I find some time, I'm going to add one in.
