Introduction

Welcome to my first champion guide on Mobafire.

Let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself:

My summoner name is Litkey, and I have about 350+ games under my belt. The champion I have played the most is Amumu, in the jungle.

Amumu is an incredible tank, valued for his immense AoE tanking abilities and a game-changing ultimate Curse of the Sad Mummy. As most tanks, however, Amumu lacks the ability to farm efficiently in a lane. In addition, Amumu's abilities make him one of the fastest jungler and his Bandage Toss makes him a good ganker.

Keep in mind, however, that Amumu is INCREDIBLY vulnerable in the jungle. I don't mean that he is a weak jungle fighter, but he needs all jungle creeps from Blue Golem to double golem to get his crucial ganking ability (Bandage Toss). In addition, Amumu needs his blue buff to jungle (keep in mind that this guide will outline the route starting with Cloth + 5 pots from Blue buff, I am aware that there is an alternate route starting with Sapphire Crystal + 2 pots, but the extra mana only delays the time until you need to pick up blue buff), if Amumu can't get his (or his enemy jungler's) blue buff, he'd be better off in the jungle than using up his entire mana pool on one jungle camp.

Runes

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
These marks are probably the only viable marks for Amumu, they will speed up his jungle and provide an extra damage boost to all of his abilities throughout the entire game

Greater Seal of Armor
The Armor Seals allow Amumu to have 58 Armor with a cloth Armor at level 1, allowing for safer jungle route. These also give Amumu extra tankiness should a Level 1 fight erupt. I prefer these over Greater Seal of Evasion because dodging attacks in the jungle slow down his jungle because it won't lower Tantrum's cooldown.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
I prefer the flat Magic Resist Glyphs over the per level Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist because Amumu needs his early game tankiness, and late-game you build Magic Resist anyways, the 11 Magic Resist you have less for choosing flat over per level will be unnoticeable.

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed
I like movement speed quints because they give Amumu extra mobility in the jungle to clear it faster and jungle invade and/or escape jungle invasions. However, if you are new to jungling or jungling on Amumu, by all means go with Greater Quintessence of Health. However, with 58 Armor, I'm able to finish Blue Golem (if leashed) with over 250 - 300 health.
