Welcome to my guide of Shaco
this is the way i play shaco so you don't have to follow my advice.
if you have suggestions how to build him better commend below and il try it out.
Pros / Cons
Deals good damage early and late game.
can use his stealth to gank and escape.
Can be hit with AoE spells when stealth
i've chosen these runes because this way he does more damage and makes him less squishy.
you can also go full ability power runes for way more damage.
or even full focus runes for less cooldowns so you can throw shiv more often.
the mastery tree Utility makes sure you never run out of mana, gives a little bit more movement, and slightly less cooldown.
the offense tree gives more ability power, cooldown reducing and if you always have ignite on cooldown even more ability power.
i start with Meki Pendant so i never run out of mana even on low level then i go for fiendish codex so i have some ability power for more damage.
After that i go for boots of lucidity for less cooldown but you can also go for boots of mobility so you can run from lane to lane for ganking.
You can also buy Lich Blade earlier so you deal twice as much damage with deceive.
- Shaco deals 20% bonus damage when striking a unit from behind.
Backstab kinda speaks for itself. try if you gank with deveive from behind your target so your crit will deal 20% more damage. also try to last hit minions from behind if possible so it is easier to get last hits.
- Shaco stealths himself instantly and teleports to target location. His next attack is guaranteed to critically strike.
Shaco instantly stealths for 3.5 seconds, and teleports to target nearby location. If he attacks while stealthed, the attack is guaranteed to crit for 40/60/80/100/120% bonus physical damage.
Decive I use my decive to gank, escape, check out people, and chase. You can also use it, to surprise a enemy with low HP, trying teleport back. Its great to escape, you can kinda jump over a wall, or go into a bush, and decive out away from the enemies. Its also great to setup ganks, because, you can decive behind an enemy, and then use your Two-shiv Poison.
- Shaco creates an animated Jack-in-the-Box at target location, which will wait, stealthed, to Fear nearby units and attack them when some come nearby.
Shaco creates a Jack in the Box at the target location. It will Stealth after 2 seconds, and pop out when an enemy comes near, fearing nearby enemies for 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds and attacking them.
Its attacks deal 35/55/75/95/115 (+0.25) magic damage and it lasts for 90 seconds while stealthed or 5 seconds while firing.
i always level jack in the box first to get first blood. set up a good gank in the bush. also a very helpfull skill for escaping enemies just make sure they need to run pass it when there chasing you and you gain a few seconds. also i use this for vision in bushes so i notice very soon if somebody is comming to gank me.
- Shaco's Shivs passively poison targets on hit, slowing them and applying a miss chance to minions. He can throw his Shivs to deal damage and poison the target.
Passive: Shaco's attacks poison his target, reducing their movement speed. If the target is a minion, it reduces their chance to hit by 20/22.5/25/27.5/30% for 2 seconds.
Active: Deals 40/80/120/160/200 (1+) magic damage to target enemy, and poisons them for 3 seconds. Upon activating this ability the passive is removed until Two-Shiv Poison becomes available again.
Two-shiv Poison is the best skill to deal damage with if your going AP. it is realy good for harrashing enemies when you have enough mana regen try to throw it non-stop. it's also realy good for chasing because it also slows the enemy.
- Shaco creates an illusion of himself nearby, which deals 75% of Shaco's damage and receives 150% increased damage. (Deals half damage to turrets.)
On death, the illusion deals 300 / 450 / 600 (+100% of ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies.
Lasts up to 30 seconds.
this skill is great to confuse enemies, if you cast this right after you jump out deceive they have no idea who the real one is so use that to your advantage. also if you play AP this can be used to do alot of damage and finish off enemies.
i use exhaust and ignite but you can also go for flash/ghost or even clarity.
Exhaust is very good for ganking because they can't run away or fight back. don't to look at there summoner spells if they have flash they still have a chance of getting away.
Ignite great for ganking and finishing of players with low hp.
Flash Flash if great for escaping and also very good for ganking but since you have deceive it is not necesary.
Ghost this can be used to chase down enemies and escape. but remember to use ghost before you use deceive otherwise ghost will break your stealth.
Clarity clarity can be used when low on mana wich happens alot when you play AP and harrash alot with shiv. the downside on this spell is that you have to sacrafise a good gank/escape spell for it.
