Hello to anyone who decided to read my guide!
Here you will find all info you will need to master Elise.
I am playing on EUW and currently in Platinum Elo. I have started playing in Season 2 and have been more-or-less-maining Elise since Season late Season 3.
I have been thinking about creating this guide for a long time, now that Elise has been buffed and is seeing a lot of play I think this is a good time.
The reason why I want to make this guide available to you players is that most of the guides don't go in-depth into her mechanics or suggest builds that are overkill to her damage.
Keep in mind: all you will read here is adapted to my personal playstyle, and my own opinion. Don't do anything just because someone says so. :)
So let's go! I will start with some general info about Elise.
Elise is my favourite champion in the League, for a good reason. She has, probably, the most tools out of all the champions.
- %-Damage (Current and missing health)
- Sustained Damage
- Spiderlings (These are more useful than you might think!)
- Speed (Spider form is the fastest champion in the game right now, along with others)
- And much more.
Why should I pick Elise?
Good question. Here is why:
- great (best?) duelist
- great jungle sustain
- great damage, even without many items
- great outplay potential
- great splitpusher
That sounds almost too good to be true. What are her downsides?
Right, she is not perfect. Here's what you should consider.
- might fall off late
- mana costs
- squishy early
- not a great pick if you're afraid of spiders
Now with that said, let's hop straight into the runes and masteries to get you going.
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Magic Penetration
For jungle Elise, these are the runes you want to run in almost all of your games.
Since spiderlings now deal magic damage, I feel like hybrid penetration reds are no longer really worth it. They are great for Elise, especially in the jungle, but magic penetration is simply the most important stat for Elise, you can't get enough of it (you can, but it's not too easy).
For yellows, armor seals are pretty much standard for all junglers. They help you a lot in early sustain and will allow for more ganking and will give you an advantage in early dueling.
Blues: I like scaling MR here. You will need them, because you will rush 2 offensive items in most games. AP runes are overkill for Elise's damage, more about that later in the guide.
Now, quints - well, these are where you can actually choose what you prefer. I think magic penetration are the best, but since quints are expensive you can also use AP, Attack Speed, or even Movement Speed, though you really don't need any more of that.
These are my standard masteries.
Most of these are standard, but some of these are rather unusual:
- Dangerous Game
Many people prefer going for Spell Weaving. However, You use spells, then you auto attack - Not the other way around. Also going for Blade Weaving would deny Executioner, and 5% damage increase to enemies below 50% is too good to pass up for.
- Tough Skin
Taken on most junglers, I think it is unneccessary for Elise. You simply don't need it. Block however improves early dueling, so go for that instead.
