Who needs typical builds anyway?

I have played this game long enough to know that there is no "wrong build" for a champion so long as it does the job. And my builds do it quite nicely. This is the build I use to play in normal and ranked games - a build which is not only fun, but powerful as well.

Oh yes BTW I know you item build trolls are out there waiting to anonymously downvote my crazy builds without even trying it, so don't even try it this time around, you'll need to leave a comment in order to vote. Cheers :)

All of the items and skills I have selected are optimized for early game advantage and late game domination.

This build is for advanced players only.

My Vayne build focuses on dealing damage from start to finish. That's just how I play! I very much prefer the in-your-face action that a great build has going for it - useful from beginning to end - instead of the "sit back and wait at tower for experience and gold" method that most people tell me to use. NOPE! I don't want any part of it!

How to Play using my build: just attack any champion that comes close. You can 1v2 easily even early game even with lackluster micro. By midgame you should have 4 or more kills. I have yet to play a game where I have not gotten first blood with my build.


Q: "Why no boots? Doesn't Vayne need movespeed to harass early game?"
A: NOPE! Her passive is enough for you to get in close even against an enemy that has boots. Your auto-attack basically kills everyone 1v1 and at level 2, your Silver Bolts finishes off the second champion easily.

Q: "Why Wit's End? Isn't there a better alternative?"
A: Of course there are better options out there - at least, for damage purposes. I use Wit's End to face caster types such as Annie or Malzahar. Any decent Vayne player knows that AP carries pwn ranged dps carries. And the extra 42 damage per tick, combined with the increased attack speed, true damage from Silver Bolts, and bonus damage from Final Hour spells doom for any champion in her path.

Q: "Why Aegis of the Legion? Don't you need damage items?"
A: Yup, you do need damage items! But if you have ONLY damage items and NO SURVIVABILITY... I'm sorry to say, but this is not one of those scrubby "cleanup crew" Vayne builds. After much testing, I found that the most effective item for Vayne's survivability for the price is Aegis of the Legion. You only need to survive just long enough to destroy the enemies. No need to spend huge amounts of gold on other items. And it is just a blessing for your team as well.

Q: "Why Stark's Fervor? Isn't Bloodthirster a better item?"
A: Stark's Fervor is the culmination of many game played with Vayne. Although Bloodthirster is, indeed, a powerful item, I found that the amount of farm needed to grab a copy of it was just too much to effectively use it in my build. Every single mirror match against an enemy Vayne that I have faced that used Bloodthirster still melted under my own build. This item pick is from experience, not from theory. And the team bonus is one of the best in the game!
