Hello everyone! This is my first guide so I would appreciate all of the input you would like to give me. In this guide I will go over how to use Renekton as a tank and how I personally use him in summoners rift. This is going to be a very short and to the point guide so if you're the kind of person that just likes to read fast and get to the point then this guide is definitely for you. Hope you enjoy!
For my runes I go with the typical 9 armor pen marks, 9 armor seals, 9 magic resist glyphs and the 3 armor pen quintessences. Pretty self explanatory imo. Armor and magic resist are needed as a melee champion, especially a tank, and then armor pen runes plus your slice and dice make for huge damage output.
My mastery tree is set up as 1/21/9. Reason for the improved exhaust is so you can really nuke an enemy down when you do exhaust them because of the armor/magic reduction. Reduced death time and increased exp gain is always nice. And then the points in the defense tree are pretty self explanatory.
The way I have the item build set up is get as much hp as you can and then use that hp to help you out with damage while you're still being a bad *** croc-tank.
Lucidity boots for reduced cd's
Warmogs armor for the passive increased hp
Atmas impaler increases your damage with the more hp you have. Kind of necessary for a tank
Phantom dancer to help you build fury up faster
Frozen mallet for nice hp boost and slow to enemies
Sunfire cape. Nuff said
Reason why I start with the W and not Q is because the teams I usually play with tend to go for the gank asap and a stun is really nice when you're trying to get that first blood. After a few creep kills you'll get your Q and then your E at level 3. After that, max out your Q first, then your W, your E last and of course get your ulti whenever.
For summoner spells I usually go with Exhaust and Flash. Exhaust because the build I run has a point in cripple and because slowing enemies is kind of necessary as a melee champion. Flash is one of the talents that is debatable because your slice and dice works the same way. If you dont want to pick up flash then ghost is very nice too because it provides defensive and offensive uses. Teleport is another useful one because it will help you get to other sides of the map very quickly so you can help out other team members ect ect.

You are a crocodile
You can farm creeps really fast
One of your spells is a personal flash that you can use twice if you hit an enemy
Your Q is a heal and an awesome aoe
Your ulti heals you for a bit and does decent damage to any enemies around
Most people dont realize how useful Renekton is and will tend to hate on you as soon as you lock him in
You wont be able to really be as awesome as you need to be till mid/late game
If you dont farm well enough or get ganked early game you will have a hard time catching up because your first items cost a decent amount of gold
During team fights you are a power house and nobody will want to mess with you. Not only does your ult to damage to nearby enemies, but you will be regenerating fury like a beast which means you will be able to do your 50+ fury stun, cull and slice and dice more often. And that means lots of dead enemies over a very short time.
When it comes to using your W make sure and use it on a champion that can tear your team apart with an aoe or just out of sheer bad ***ness. So use it wisely.
Farming is definitely easy for you. If you dont have common sense let me fill you in on how to farm as the croc. Step 1, slice through the pile of creeps. Step 2, cull everything around you. Step 3, dice through the creeps again. Step 4, find a new wave of creeps to rinse and repeat on
