I think you've mentioned all the right items. But I think the alternative items should be the main ones and some of the main ones shouldn't be there. Me personally, I would want to have a brutaliser and avarice blade, then atma's impaler, then warmog's. As renekton is already an offtank and gains extra health from his ulty atmog's should be perfect. Then probably a FoN so you have MR and aren't screwed over by a madred's or any other health % skill.

I think triforce doesn't benefit Renekton too much as he tends to combo his skills rather than proc them every two seconds and costs a hell of a lot.

As for wriggles, I can see why it's effective, a lil bit of armour, lifesteal, great farming and a ward but not sure if it's worth it in the long run.

Then I'd finish youmuu's and leave a situational slot open.

For boots I'd probably want ninja tabi or ionian boots of swiftness and consider a tenacity item like Eleisa's miracle or cloak and dagger. Other than that perhaps a last whisper or a

lol. Funny guide, but dude, you need cooldown red. I bet you have extremly large cooldowns. xD I also like the Wriggle's. I use it with Rene in early game too. The BC is good but the Banshee's... NOT! It gives mana, Rene hasn't got mana. -.- And you should also throw out Trinity. It sucks a little bit on Rene. The only good thing on Trinity is the double damage passive. Try Bloodthirsters, I just love their passive. But if you wont have a good score (I think that you wont have much kills), than buy Infinitys.

And about armor and selfdefense. Buy a Frozen Mallet, FoN (for heavy APs), Randuin's/Thornmail/Warmog's, take your cooldown red shoes and try out a Phantom Dancer (cuz it gives you move speed).

You'd be surprised how un-squishy he is, personally i find playing Renekton as an offtank is a waste of a champion, the health on frozen mallet is enough to keep him up in a group fight if your damage output is high enough. There are better offtanks than renekton, but with a decent build your damage output and mobility is your survivability.


Personally i don't get BC or lastwhisper, there are just better items for him that armour pen, +youmuu's gives abit

try a doran's shield to start with as well, it works out a lot better, i also like flat AD marks and quints, but that part is much more personall preference

Try maxing slice first, i see literally no Renekton guides doing it but put it this way, Slice just flat out does more damage, its also better for minion farming, so can't see any point no maxing it first

You're Right Black Cleaver is better on Renekton, I find i have better results with a Triforce then with something like Youmuus and with the slow on Triforce there is really no reason for me to get Frozen mallet, also he if I built him with all 6 of your suggested items i would be really squishy.

Blackcleaver is outright better there isn't really any reason to get last whisper, I Think triforce isn't all that decent, procing predator on it is alright but get a frozen mallet, atma's, infinity edge, bloodthirster, youmuu's, they are all better items.
get swiftness boots instead of merc treads, the CC reduction aint all that good for him, the speed is better considering you drop triforce

Personally i don't like banshee's or sunfire cape, but both are kind of alright items for him
the build is alright but explanations aren't well written and the items are a bit off
