I like your guide overall. I definitely like the Zhonya's Hourglass as a choice, but be careful with Mejai's. If you have died a couple times in lane before the time you would normally get it, it might be better to simply skip it and get a different item that will give you more immediate results. Outside of that, you keep many of the important aspects of Veigar in you core build which is good! Nice job!

what exactly you dont like about it?
The point of it is to farm and have a great escape + a good assist rate with these 2 sec stuns. by the point you have maxed your primary damage dealing skill Dark Matter you should have
a) plenty of ability power to score kills
b) nice stun to make sure your Dark Matters lands on stunned target
c) Rank 3 of Baleful Strike + AP to last hit most minions even close to full health

EDIT: now i saw you downvoted most of veigar's builds and your account is recent.....wondering why?!

and thats on level 13 when you get Rank 5 of Dark Matter. Not to mention that when you acquire your ulti at rank 6 having farmed a bit can get you some kills.
