Hi there Summoners! This is my first guide so please be gentle with me :)
In this guide I will discuss how to build Riven, The Exile.
She is an awesome addition to the League both in looks, background story and references.

This guide is mainly for how to build her, not how to play her.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Pretty standard runeset for AD melee champions. No mana => CDR Glyphs :D This offers survivabilty and power.

I go for 21/0/9 since Riven needs as much AD as possible. Her abilities scale massively with bonus AD giving her more power and defense. I take Greed in the Utility tree for the extra bit of gold because I choose for a rather expensive build.

I see a lot of Rivens building her as offtank and fail dramaticaly. My idea is to give her as much AD as possible. Don't just blindly follow the itemlist up top. You have to adapt to every single game. Not much threat from AD's? Drop the Thornmail and go for Frozen Mallet or another Bloodthirster.

Doing fine in teamfights until an Annie or a Brand shows up and burns you to hell? Get a Hexdrinker offering Magic Resist, extra AD and a nice Magic Damage shield that will save your life and destroy theirs.

Basically max Ki Shout first, then Broken wings, and Valor for last. Be sure to upgrade your ultimate on lvl 6, 11 and 16. The other guides have detailed tactics on skill usage. Go read those. The only thing I'm against is how they build. No AD damage is UP Riven.

Don't waste your Wind Slash on high HP targets. Use it on low HP Targets and pick up the free kills :)

Farming minions is very easy with Riven. Ki Shout, Broken Wings, attack, Broken Wings, attack, Broken wings, attack, Ki shout.
