Introduction

Welcome to my Riven - Slash Your Way to Victory! guide, today I'll be showing you my guide for soloing top as Riven and how to completely dominate your enemies and leave them shocked as you gut entire teams! As you may have seen, my main focus is damage, this being said you must play carefully and know this champ to a certain extent to understand when and how to carry out your killings. Shall we being?

Runes

"Why don't you take any armor or health in your seals?" Well, because you don't exactly need it when you can just kill them faster than they can touch you ;). The crit helps early game by adding some extra lucky damage and some creep kills as you farm. The flat attack damage is self explanatory and the attack damage per level is for the early-mid game transition to be smoother and you to be able to still dominate your enemies while being able to stay back for extended periods of time.

Masteries

My masteries are a pretty general "Kill or Be Killed" sort of deal in the way that they focus on doing damage and adding a touch of minor survivability for small skirmishes or team fights that may otherwise take you out. Some people like a more tanky Riven and I understand that so feel free to change the masteries according to your play style, these just go best with the build itself ;O.

Items

Start with a long sword and get a health pot for added sustain, try and harass with your q while last hitting minions and maintaining a viable ganking lane for your jungler. When you go back try and get a boots and 3 health pots so you can dish out more damage while still staying minty fresh :D. The next time you return you should be able to buy some beserker's greaves and hopefully your Brutalizer, if not just head back up to lane and do the normal routine. Once you get your Brut you'll probably want them to stay in melee range so pick up a phage asap, it'll boost your survivability and damage a good amount. When you finally finish your Ghost Blade you should be in around mid game and having some good team fights going on, when you get in one start off by using E to get in and stunning any nearby champions, either stay on that one and kill it or just focus who your team is. Next item on your list is a Frozen Mallet for the health and slow, it'll be beastly if you're fed and nice if you're fed and otherwise a nice addition incase you need to start getting a bit tanky. Once that's finished start on your Bloodthirster and get it when you can for the damage and sustain, it'll make team fights and skirmishes a lot easier on you. Next you'll want an Infinity Edge for that extra crit damage and some physical damage added on, this isn't all that important so feel free to skip to the Guardian Angel instead if need be. Once all that is finished you'll want to get a GA for added survivability and tankyness so you can just wreck whenever and wherever you want :).

Summoner Spells

My Ideal Pick: Exhaust /Ignite
First Spell
Exhaust: Skirmishes, probably will do you best late and early game
Second Spell
Ignite: Nice for picking up runners and will help in Skirmishes, my ideal pick
Flash: Good for catching up or landing those clutch stuns

Summary

This is the end of all I have to say, hopefully you'll be able to wreck all those nubs and get first place in a tourny (lol). But seriously, have fun with Riven and feel free to experiment with my build and add or take off as you please, this game needs you to be able to adapt to certain situations so feel free to do so. Well, have fun killing those Olafs :O
