Hello, and welcome to my first build ever. I will be showing you a nice way to build and play Riven, the latest champion in the league. I hope you like my build; try it yourselves and then rate it. Please, forgive me for any mistake I make (I do not know english very well).

NO mana. YAY!

So, for runes, I really like armor penetration Reds and Quints, armor Yellows and magic resistance Blues. This build will give you around 31% armor penetration (masteries included), which is very important for early game. Moreover, armor and magic resist will make you more sustainable and mobile. You could use any other runes you like, such as Health Quints, but I do not reccomend it. Cooldown reduction will not really do much of a difference, however, if you feel like you need it, take CD reduction Blues and alter your masteries.

21/0/9, classic Damage build. Focus on armor penetration in offense and XP in Utillity; you really need those! Also, take improved exhaust. You could build Riven more tanky, by going on a 9/21/0 or a 0/21/9, but.. Riven is a fighter and you dont really want to make her tanky. Besides, the items suggested will help her be sustainable in a lane, with decent damage.

So, the good thing with Riven is that she has no mana. That means that you can easilly harass the enemies with your combos and do a lot of damage. Max Broken wings first, Ki burst second and Velor last. Dont forget to upgrade your ultimate when possible (Levels: 6/11/16).

So, Exhaust and flash for summoner spells. Well, th reason I take these is simple, exhaust for the easy kills and flash for both offense and defense. You could take ghost over flash as well but i dont reccomend it. Just avoid spells like cleanse, revive, fortify, heal, claivorance, clarity, teleport etc. Smite is for junglers. If yoyu choose to jungle with Riven, obviously take this, otherwise forget it.
