Introduction
If you also think that Rumble is the most epic champion ever, you should try this build!
The cool thing about Rumble is, that even if you go AP carry, Rumble is still kinda off tank, so you can still take alot of damage!
Rumble is my main, and i hope he will be your main too! Who doesn't love a little hamster in a big robot!? It's imposible to not love this little guy! :D
I play Rumble as an AP carry, so i need alot of kills! And if you just have a good start, you will see what this build can do...
I hope this build will help you, so pay attention.
For runes i pick Greater Mark of Insight, Greater Seal of Fortitude, Greater Glyph of Focus and Greater Quintessence of Fortitude...
These runes will help you defesively and aggresively.
Magic penetratio will give your abilities higher damage against a champion with much magic resistance. HP is always lovely to have, so that is why i though that will be a nice choise for runes. And cooldown redoction is also good for Rumble, so you can use your electro harpoon faster, and ofc also your other abilities...

I pick 9 21 0 as masteries.
I pick 21 in defence, so i can have solo lane or just stay on lane in long time.
But 21 in defence is also good in a fight. As you know, Rumble is a melee, so he has to stand in the front to do any damage.
And 9 points in the offence is also good for Rumble.
Start off with 3 points into Archmage's Savvy and 1 point into Deadliness to allow you to move into the next tier. Next place 4 points into Sorcery and 1 into Burning Ember for more AP when it's on cooldown.
Put 3 points into both Hardiness and Resistance, 4 into Evasion, and 1 into Nimbleness. This will give you good early game tankiness to survive long time on the lane. That point in Nimbleness really helps to prevent being kited, which probably won't be a problem for Rumble anyways with Electro-harpoon. 2 points into Harden Skin, 4 into Veteran's Scars, 3 into Ardor, and top it all off with a final point into Tenacity. This all makes Rumble a bit tankier, as well as giving him a little bit of extra attack speed and AP, which helps with Junkyard Titan's overheating damage potential.

I start with Doran's Shield because it's a great defencive item, and it can help me stay on lane for a long time. And in the start it's best to be on lane as long as posible.
After i pick Boots of Speed, so i can get some moment speed. And because i need to get Mejai's Soulstealer fast, so that is the item i buy after Boots of Speed.
Mejai's Soulstealer is very importent to get fast, so you can get more AP for kills and asist...
I opgrade my boots to Mercury's Treads, so it's easier for me to ecsape.
Rylai's Crystal scepter is a great item for a mage. I get HP and AP for the item, and i get a chance to slow the enemy on my abilities and attacks.
Rabadon's Deathcap gives alot of AP so all my abilities get much higher damage.
After Rabadon's Deathcap, i pick Void Staff so i get even more AP and so i get magic penetration. So my AP can break through the magic resistence.
And in the end, i will pick Sunfire Cape so i also get some armor and more HP.
But Sunfire Cape also have a cool passive, that will damage all enemies around me!
After the build is done, i but elixirs because i don't have anything else to use my money on...
Btw if you don't have so many stacks on your Mejai's Soulsteal you can sell that item and buy Zhonya's Hourglass.

I start maxing Flamespitter, and pick a Electro Harpoon in lvl 2 and Scrap Shield in lvl 4.
After i've maxed Flamespitter i max Electro Harpoon.
Flamespitter and Electro Harpoon are good to haras with, and when you get a lvl in Scrap Shiel, you can come closer to the enemy faster, and take less damage.
Everytime you can pick The Equalizer, you ofc have to pick that ability.

In teamfights it's important to leap onto their carry and wear him/her down with your damage over time, sticking onto them with your slowing spells and sheer bulk. You can initiate with The Equalizer on as many of your opponents as possible, right smack in the middle of the fight. You should be charging in with Flamespitter and Scrap Shield running, using Electro-Harpoon on any champ that's trying to run from you.
As a tanky initiator, most fights won't truly break out until you run in. Landing your AoE spells on as many of them will be truly beneficial to your team for them to set up their ultimates, as everyone should be slowed by Flamespitter and The Equalizer proccing Rylai's Crystal Scepter.

As Summoner Spells i pick Flash and Ignite.
Flash is good to ecsape with and make a surprise attack with.
Ignite is a good Spell to get kills with, you can use your Ignite to finish the target or you can use it so they don't heal so much.
But Flash and Ignite are very good to Rumble.
