Ryze- Early Kill

Overview
This guide is for early kills to get you ahead early, which usually keeps you ahead for the entire game. This is for decently skilled Ryze players and is not for everyone. It is highly aggressive.

Early Game and First Kill
Your first kill can happpen at level 1 and will for alot of games. Start with exhaust and ignite. This will increase your ap by 10 and decrase their MR by 10 with this build. Cast spell flux (make sure you are next to the enemy so it bounces max number of times). With just a tad of luck or a tad of opponent stupidity, its a kill. If your teamate helps you, its a sure kill.

In the beginning of the game, the enemy heros will tend to stand next to each other before minions show up. Throw a few spell fluxes at them and they will spread their heros out in your lane. This makes it even easier to target one for a kill.

By level 3, your summoner spells should be off cooldown. Use the same strat except you have 2 more spells to use including a trap. Start with exhaust and ignite, then overload, rune prison, run up next to them and spell flux... even easier kill than level 1.

By level 5, you can grab boots and maybe your mana crystal.

Rest of Game
When you hit level 6, look for enemy heros low on HP. You can get some very easy kills, especially dps players who have not bought an item that increases HP yet. Between 7 and 10, you will get your soulstealer. Once you get soulstealer, hide between lanes in the jungle and do not get seen when moving around. Most are still laning, just wait for some oppotunities for souls. Around level 11 or 12, team fights start.

For the rest of the game, it is up to you. This is a early kill guide for Ryze. Your own strats and ability will prevail you to the end of the game. With this early start, I will have a full stack of souls by level 14-18.

For me: After I get to the team fight part of the game, I follow a tank or high HP dps around. This can save you alot of,"dam i just lost a bunch of stacks of soulstealer". Also, do not get gready for kills, assists are easier and safer, casts your spells and get out of team fights. Your team will win with all the damage you just did and you get souls too. Most importantly, you do not die.

Skill Selection
I max out spell flux first. It is Ryze's highest damage spell. This is a great spell for any occation: 2 heros standing next to each other...team fights...hero chasing you, bounce a spell between you...Overload stacks with mana, the the %mana does not increase when upgrading, and fractions of a second do not help you to much with rune prison, Ryze casts all his spells in a split second anyway.

Mastery
The Masteries I chose are common for Ryze except for improved exhaust and ignite.

Rune Selection
Rune selection is also common for Ryze builds. I grab vitality because I am targeted in all team fights after I get soulstealer.

Item Selection
I try to get an early soulstealer, usually around level 8 or 9. I believe this is Ryze's most powerful part of the game, because his ultimate allows for alot of kills and assists. I get Rylai's after soulstealer for the health bonus and slow for when they try and destroy my stacks of souls. If they are not targeting you very much, go for Rod of Ages, this gives you mana instead of a slow, which increases your overload.

Ending Comments
I know this is not a full game guide, but it allows for a very quick soulstealer. With this build, opponents will sometimes quit when they see Ryze at 20 stacks, which is before I hit level 18.
