I'm a TR Soraka main who has been playing soraka since 2013. I am quite experienced in playing soraka and i think qualified to teach you how to play her.

I play soraka because she's fairly easy to play, instead of having to think about all that micro stuff i can focus on my macro play instead.

As you may have guessed, my elo is not very high. You won't perform very well with Soraka after diamond because thats the elo where people know how to play against you.

I love soraka's design and the simplicity of her abilities, shes a great champion to pick in blind pick and that's usually what i'm playing thanks to draft queues being very long and everybody tryharding.

I get this question asked to me by a lot of people and i think it's perfectly fine to main soraka, she has nice heals, especially in the lategame where she can heal for 800 hp with just one w. Quite squishy but can work very well if played safely. You will be called an e-girl and your ADC might not be very happy that you picked soraka because there are other enchanter supports like Lulu out there with a lot more tools. Soraka is in my opinion the easiest support to play and is a perfect choice for anyone who wants to learn the support role.

Absolutely DO NOT one trick soraka, you should always have other picks for support because her tools are very limited, you should play other champions like Lulu, Janna, Nami or Karma.

Honestly i think the One Tricking mentality is one you shouldn't put yourself into, learn other champions and you will grow as a player.

No, i do not recommend tank soraka, if you play well you wont have to build her tank.

Pros

Always start W first, it's helpful in every situation. I use it to give my jungler some hp after a leash and it is also very useful if you get invaded. It can protect against very early poke aswell.

Poke and heal, ward river bushes often because thats where most junglers will try and gank you from.

Whenever you see them ready to attack your ADC stop them with your E (Equinox). This will stop them from using their abilities and will in turn save your adc from getting killed.

If you don't have a ward, you can use your Q for a bit of vision, i use it to check on drake and a few bushes since it has a low mana cost and a short cooldown.

Don't forget to buy control wards.

In the mid game, look to roam mid or to your jungler, your passive allows you to catch up to your allies and with your mobi boots + other movement items you can roam very effectively.

Your ADC might flame you for roaming but don't listen to them, your teammates need your help.

The reason i take TP is to roam toplane and to other lanes that need my help, toplaner losing a fight? tp and give them a little boost.

This is most of your mid game, roam and help your teammates. If you can't roam you can always use your ult to heal low hp teammates.

Of course you should still be with your ADC or even roam with them.

You should have an oracle lens at around minute 20.

In the late game, the game will probably turn into ARAM. Wait until everyone in your team is low hp in a team fight and then ult. If they don't focus you that's a free teamfight win.

Your healing output is huge, in the lategame no morellonomicon or Executioner's can lower it, as long as your teammates protect you everything should be alright.

Use your lens to clear out wards, keep roaming and helping your teammates push.

There aren't that many tricks for soraka, here are a few that could be useful.

• If you hit an enemy with your Q and then heal an ally with W, the health regen and movement speed will be passed onto them, you will also lose less health.
  
• You can cancel your W animation with your ult.
  
• You can take Celerity and Water Walking to increase your speed while roaming.
