Really great guide. I've loved playing Pantheon ever since I first tried him, but I've struggled somewhat in lane once I started facing reasonably skilled opponents (relatively, I still only play normals). The build you use isn't that much different from the other guides I've seen, but the start, with pots instead of the standard Doran's item makes all the difference. Sustain was always my biggest problem, but so far, using this start in the last five or so games, I've been throwing spears right left and centre, getting 2-3 kills by level six, and still have mana to spare for clearing creep waves. The only champ who gave me real problems so far was Vlad, with his innate sustain.

Here's to hoping I haven't just faced bad opponents. :D

@Clemroc

Could elaborate on the mechanics of doing "When used well, you can block 2 tower-shots while tower-diving the enemy." with Aegis of Zeonia?

Im new to pantheon and only a bronze player but would love to understand how that works.

thanks for the guide!

OMG DIS IS AWESOME .... BTW i really think maxing Q first ..is simply better because YES, in battles your E does way more damage and its better for duelling.. but the thing is that they don't want to trade with you as they know they will die instantly anyway so taking Q offers much more poke harras which is also better for zoning.. and last hitting.. CHAMPS!..

btw the reason i love this guide is because in your full-build example i never thought of that kind of epic combination of items.. I'm impressed and will be sure to try it out!

Awesome guide1 Like Starki113r said, I max Heartseeker Strike first, taking Q>W>E.

And also, in your Itemization section, you mixed up Health pots and Mana pots :3

Personally, I prefer to max Heartseeker Strike first, then Spear Shot. You deal far more damage by level 11 in duels and skirmishes than you would with Spear Shot, and Heartseeker Strike applies ArPen, unlike Spear Shot. Otherwise, not a bad build.
