I think this is a good question and a situation all players who want to master twisted fate will go against, what is the best way to deal with assassins? For example how would you deal with Zed and Talon? In my experience I rushed zhonya's hourglass as first item. I completed it around level 7 and farmed under tower not giving the assassins the opportunity to one-shot me. I also ran barrier since it can deny some damage if used correctly. After that on next back I usually complete tabis. Why Zhonya and under what circumstances do I use it? I play extremely defensively as twisted fate and let the opponent push the minions into my tower which I instantly clear with red card and autos. If my opponent rushes me under tower I take some damage+gold card and zhonya, I let the tower do the rest and if my opponent is low finish it up with another gold card when I lock it I ult and destroy them. What are your thoughts on it and if you can give me any advice on the matter?

For Zed:
Pick Exhaust.
Play pretty aggressive early, 1-4 and focus on dodging Q's.
If you dodge his Q, his damage is more or less non-existant early.

After level 6, play very passive and save exhaust for when he ultis you.
If you're at 60ish % HP, play very passively. Since he can easily instagibb you from that.
Build Rod of Ages into Zhonyas into Lich Bane.
Rushing Zhonyas will only negate his ulti, but will overall keep you very squishy.

You won't be spending much time on lane after 6 anyways, besides from waveclearing.

Talon:
Exhaust works, ignite works, ghost works, heal works.
Buy boots first item and focus on not getting hit twice by his W early game, that will most likely one shot you. If Talon jumps you but does not proc his 3 stacks, you can easily chase him down and punish him and dish out some damage.

The only thing you have to think about pre-6 is not to get hit by Rake two times.

After 6, play passively and don't spend much time on lane. And only waveclear, don't overstay, since he can proc three stacks on you without even casting W.

Build Rod of Ages and then decide if you want more defense, build Zhonyas else Lich Bane.
Talon won't be much of a problem late game as you will be backline and if he tries to jump in, you can stun him.

Solid advice, thanks man. But in which situation is the Exhaust good to use? After Zed uses his ult on me? Exhaust is one of the few summoner spells I do not really understand how to play in the correct situation compared to heal/barrier which is meant to ensure survivability and ignite which is supposed to add kill potential or ghost which adds mobility.

The guide looks solid, plays solid and carries solid.
No complains only compliments. Just one question doesn't the magic pen boots scale better with tf?

Magic Pen boots can be an alternative if you're stomping the enemies.
But generally you wanna go defensive boots, Lucidity or Swiftness

It definitely works, but is not the better alternative.

Really enjoyed looking over the guide and hope I can improve with TF from it. One question I have though is would buying Luden's Echo ever be a viable choice for a bit more wave clear? I know with Wild Cards you clear but would LE help with a full build? Thanks for the guide and keep up the good work!

It is a viable choice in the sense that you do not automatically fall behind or lose out if you purchase it. But there are better alternatives to spend 3000 gold on.

The only time I build Ludens is if I'm playing some weird one shot build or movespeed troll build. Never as a item to have in mind normally.

And Twisted Fate does not need any more wave clear, since with a red card and wild cards, you can more or less shove waves all game long.

Really like your build on Twisted Fate AD Top. I don't play ranked so it's easy to carry my team to victory with this build. ^_^

I love the jungle part of this guide.
Farming is smooth if you know how to kite.
Keep up the good work.

Your guide is fantastic, even if not updated to season 7. It's really useful and helped me a lot to play better with TF. Thank you and continue the hard work.

Would you ever recommend gunblade on an AD build? It would make your E stronger and provide a ton of healing from all of its activations.
