Lux is a long-ranged caster with a versatile toolkit.
No hero can initiate, support, and do serious damage like Lux.

The Samurai Lux is slightly tanky and more mobile that most builds to give her survivability against gap-closing brusiers/assassins. This allows Lux to stay alive destroy the enemy team.

Samurai Lux is also built so that she is versatile all game at all lanes.
To simplify the matter I'll list some things that Lux can do and the elements in the build that help Lux achieve those things.


Steal dragon, jungler's blue, and baron. -Lux's e and ulti.
Bushcheck/Mapcheck - Lux's e and ulti.
Slow enemies - Lux's delayed e
Ensare 2 enemies at once - Lux's q
Deal great damage early game - Lux's passive and q+e combo along with attack speed masteries.
Great last hitting - good attack animation + attack speed masteries
Great Burst - 1 combo or even 1 shot enemy squishies.
Snipe - Lux's amazing ulti
AOE Damage - All of Lux's spells are multi target
Sustainability and Survivability - Speed to dodge spells, armor to survive auto attacks, health to survive.
Shield teams - multi user shield that can shield over 700 dmg. Cover tower dives etc.
Map control - Enemies with low health must tele back to base in secret, Squishies cannot roam map: movement speed.
