Ayo, aatrox main here. I'm not very good, been playing for a long time casually, never play ranked but if i did i think i would be around gold 2 or so. I was just wondering, why do you go sundered first instead of shojin? i've found much success with shojin into sundered and i feel really weak without it. the stats on sundered are kinda meh, but the sustain is nice. thanks in advance! :)

Sundered offers more 1v1 power in lane and skirmishes with the extra damage + sustain on its passive. Honestly I have been liking Shojin less and less, and if I go bruiser with Sundered Sky I tend to opt for Eclipse secondary for extra burst dmg + the shield. You don’t need the extra haste from Shojin as Sundered with or without Eclipse gives plenty. Also Eclipse is a cheaper item.

UPDATE: Eclipse first feels better in almost EVERY situation.
