Thanks! :)

I'm planning to expand on it even more in the coming months but unfortunately am bogged down with both college & work. GLHF in your games!

Runes have changed a bit, meta and winrates/pickrates changed a lot too. Will be waiting for articuno's update. To see if he still considers Kleptomancy the best possible choice for consistent early game.
Also, Articuno, even if you do still believe this, are there specific matchups where you think other runes would fair better?
I'm asking this because some matchups make it really dangerous to AA after abilities, exposing you to bad trades. Maybe some of this cases, with me at least, may be because of lack of skill, hard to compare, I'm just Gold III.

Hey! Love your guide! I am an Anivia main who climbed to gold with her, but am looking to get better. I just had a question on viability with new runes if you don't mind.

You have Celestial Body as your 3rd non-keystone rune. I feel like early game you want to be abusing your high damage potential as much as possible for an early lead. Would "Approach Velocity" be a viable replacement? MS on Anivia is hard to come by, plus this works well with your Celerety rune and is easy to proc with Q and R.

Or is the 100 health just that important to lane sustain with Klepto? I am gonna try this page out next game I play, I have been using Glacial Augment with some success, but Klepto intrigues me and I wish to try it out!

Hey Articuno, why do you recommend kleptomancy over something like arcane comet? Mana Sustian? You seem to get that from the new rune manaflow band too. Also do you think going down the domination path is viable for electrocute? The other runes don't seem to help anivia much, but electrocute op.

It's certainly playstyle dependent. I think a more passive early game is a more consistent approach and so I find kleptomancy quite good for that. And you get your tear-roa a lot earlier this way.

I don't think domination is viable for just electrocute, but I can see an arcane comet page as viable for sure. Be sure to adapt to your playstyle as Anivia can be played in so many different ways.

So with a bit of testing, kleptomacy is better top lane, where you auto more, and comet is better mid. I also found that i need to change my combo for harass form qe auto to q auto e auto

Hello I really like your guide, but I have a question regarding your runes. with 9 scaling CDR blues you reach 15% CDR with no items and since there are no items that give 5% CDR, and we take Precision over intelligence, either we are going to overcap or be at 35% CDR. What do you think of taking 1 scaling CDR Quin and therfore reaching 20% CDR lvl 18 with no items? I mostly ask for min/maxing reason.

35% CDR is perfectly OK, but on reflection I think it is more ideal to take intelligence in masteries. But of course, feel free to try out different setups and let me know how they work out for you. Thanks, I've updated the guide!

Hello again! per your notes on Meditation, I actually tested it out between the time of my question and your answer, not only on Anivia, but also on other champs, and Meditation actually feels very nice to use (I usually take 4 points in DG and 1 in Meditation now, or 3/2 for more mana reliant champions). Another question, what do you think about taking W again at level 8? I've done that for a while, as the increased width on the W is very useful, with the W able to block off some jungle corridors at rank 2.
Thanks again!

Hey! Sorry for the late response. I as a habit take wall level 4, I feel safer with it and it makes early ganks more successful. As for taking a second W level 8, I don't see that as more advantageous than a point in Q which gives longer stun / more damage.

Also, with your wall you don't necessarily want to block an entire corridor in case the enemy has flash or some other bs that puts them over it. If you leave a little room to walk through you (and your team) can pass through in those cases.

Of course there's no one perfect way to play a champion and if it's consistently working well for you, go for it. Hope this helps!
