I've been playing Yi mid since season 2 when he was AP and still think its strong pick against most mid laners.

Items

Inf edge, Shiv then phantom dancer once you get these 3 items you can end the game. Anything after is situational depending on what you need usually GA is a good option.

Skill Sequence

R,Q,E,W putting a second point in W early is good but don't put more then that until the end as it isn't as noticeable as the 2nd point.

Summary

Mid Yi is a hyper carry that has a very easy time for the most part mid. Can farm, bully and get easy kills mid. Once you hit 6 you can roam bot and try to get fed and once you get your 3 items you can take over the game.
