Chapter 1
Shaco is my most favorite character to play, and i find that this build works wonders. This is my first build, and i hope you like it! This build is also pretty successful with Ashe.
Lets jump in!
Masteries:
i go with offense at 21 so that you can have more burst, and lethality is amazing with Deceive.
Runes:
I roll full Furor glyphs, so that you can hit even harder with deceive, and your crits.
Summoner Abilities:
I like getting Exhaust, and Ignite. Exhaust, because...well...it's exhaust. who doesnt want the blind, and slow?
Ignite is also pretty good, as the DOT(Damage over Time) is pretty nice.
Clarity is also a good skill, as you will run out of mana pretty easily early/mid game.
Pros:Great ganker
excellent damage
good pusher
Cons:
Low mana
kind of squishy
How to deal with Cons:
for low mana, i just usually port back once in a while. I dont use my skills on minions, also. If you need to get a mana item, i suggest getting Sheen, or a Manamune.
For being kind of squishy, i don't like to be in the middle of a fight and stay there. if you jump in, kill somebody, then get the hell out. your speed should be efficient enough to not have to worry about your health that much. If being chased, Deceive somewhere you know they won't expect- like over a wall, or back the way you were running. If need be, you can put a Frozen mallet, but i usually don't get it.
Skills:
Get Two-Shiv poison maxed out first. Any time you cant get Two-Shiv, get Deceive. Jack in the Box is kind of a waste of mana with this build, and doesn't really do much for you, except for late game during team fights.
Early Game:
Early Game is hardest time for Shaco, mainly because of his lack of mana. I like starting with Two-Shiv poison, for one its a great harassing tool, it slows them down, and hits like a truck. You never want to initiate fights, either. Let your laning partner take care of that. At level 2, i get deceive to get that extra jump on people, and the crit is awesome early game. First, I begin with Boots of Speed for numerous reasons. While laning, you will have great speed, for when they're running away and you can just cut them up with backstab because your faster than them. Usually, i will have at least 2 kills in the first 5 mins of the game. You will probably be out of mana by now, and will need to port. Don't worry about having to port. It's better to go back and get your health/mana then be standing next to your tower like a sitting duck. by the end of early game, you should have your Berserker boots, and the Vampiric Scepter.
Mid Game:
your time to shine. first item you want to get is B.F. Sword, and start on Infinity's Edge. This lets your attacks do alot more damage, and you will also be more than able to take on most players at this time. Your deceive will also hit harder with the Infinity Edge's passive. Keep ganking, hiding in bushes, and jumping on those with less health than you :D by the time you have Phantom Dancer, you're already in late-game phase.
Late Game:
Get that Bloodthirster built.. Your attacks will do a bit more damage, and you should be pretty dominant now. In late game, you have a number of options. Shaco is an amazing pusher, with Halucination, and a wave of minions, you can probably take out towers like butter on bread. your other option is team fights. i like a deceptive shaco, and i always hide in the bushes during the fight. when i see someone around 50% health, i jump in, and can usually take them out without them doing anything. If they have friends around, or if they don't, high-tail it out! keep on the move, so that they never know what your doing or where you are.
