NOTE: THIS IS FOR 3v3's, I USUALLY FAIL TRYING TO CARRY SHEN IN 5v5's WITH MY WAY!
Now pretty much this is my guide for Shen, I get some good scores like 9/0/11, 12/2/8 and other scores and once I even got a 25 win streak with my guide. It's a mix of AP, Tank and Carry.
Hence the name "Shen - The AP Tank, Carry"
Now it's not heaps AP but it's AP enough.

Now the:
Pros
He's a good saviour which can get you quick kills.
With this guide (which I havn't tryied in 5v5's) Shen is literally always in a fight, almost every fight.
He's a decent quick jungle late game, I don't recomend but good to make some money if your 200 gold short.
Fun to play, and everyone just loves having a passive that says "This unit is a flippin' ninja!"

Cons
Sadly he is targeted often just like most supports.
You tend to not recall often seeing you just teleport everywhere with teleport and his ulti.
That's about it really, another is people tell me that if Kennen and Akali are playing with you too (three ninja's) then you do less damage, some kind of passive never done it so yeah.

I skipped Runes because the Runes are as stated above, I don't try others and don't want to.
With Masteries if you don't like Teleport in a 3v3 then go ahead change it for something and just get the mastery upgrade for the new summoner spell you use.

That's it for masteries :P

With the Items I start with Doran's because it's really handy at beginning, I don't like boots of speed and potions at beginning...
Now you may have noticed the items are just recomended items just more in depth with the order of sub items. I get boots of speed and then I get as many Health Potions as I feel comfortable usually about 2-3 don't just get one and don't even think about wasting money and buying 4-5. By the time you used about 2 potions they are almost useless unless the enemy is still laneing. I still don't recomend it.

That's it for items it's pretty self explanitory.

THIS! Is what I love about Shen!
With his Q he can easily KS and take some damage down on an enemy.
Also my favourite is his R because if you need to escape you can use W and then R to a team mate anywhere away from battle.
ALSO! (That's right it's got two more uses!)
It can be used to save someone with it's shield.
And just get an easy triple kill.

And the last use:
It can be used to easily get to your team to destroy a building quicker or get into team fights easier. I also love it how you can also have teleport so when your R is on CD you can just teleport to a minion or teleport to your turret save it and then pick up an ace :D

All I can say is;
some times I use Ignite instead of teleport if there is another support or tank. But usually even if there is a support or tank I keep teleport so I'm always in a battle. I'm quite used to it, and also: Ghost is what I use if both my Teleport and my R is either unavaiable or on CD just to get to the fight or to save someone or something. Or to farm when everyone is dead! :D

FARMING! EQUALS HARD BUT FTW WITH SHEN!
It can be hard but using Shen to farm is awesome and very handy.
Now I'm always first to level 18 when everyone is still level 14 even when we aren't fed. (Unless the other team is fed which usually doesn't happen)

Anyway: HOW DO I DO IT? You ask.
Or not IDK but anyway this is how you farm: When solo top dies simply teleport to top and get all kills maybe even ghost to top and kill the person that killed solo top especially if they are on low hp after a fight and getting cocky and try to farm.

Also if your team is in jungle just use your R and jungle with him and then kill some minions after by teleport or R.

And that's it, sounds easy but hard to master.
