As you can see this is my first build, but not the last - I hope.

This is modified version of "Shen out of ****ing no where" build.

I just changed some items and their order to make Shen more lethal and more farming capable. After Mercury's treads and Heart of Gold, you will have enough health and magic protection to carry on with any type of fight. Of course if your team sucks, you will suck too, since you are tank and you will depend on good DPS team or good AP.

Try to move a lot especially when playing against Morgana or Dr. Mundo. You will have to train your self to trigger Feint shield on right time. Remember shield can absorb great deal of damage, but it don't last for long time. So I find id very useful against Kaatarina, Shaco, Dr. Mundo, Jax, Jarvan, Pantheon and similar heroes that are annoying with their casting hits (Katarina knifes, Jax jump, Jarvan jump... and etc.) - All you have to do is to move a lot and make it harder for enemy to hit you or decide to hit you. Watch game for a right moment to turn on your shield, deflect hit and turn hit back with your Vorpal blade. This way you will make harder for enemy to farm and gain XP. Plus you will piss them off and make them to fall into mistakes like running on to you, attacking you under tower and etc.

Sunflare cape, will help you to farm faster and kill horde and horde of minions. I push a lot alone in lane. I gain money, XP, and I watch game and use my ulty to help others and in rare situations to escape. To play Shen you will have to get used to watch a lot of time to your mate's game-play and to watch whole map to see what's happening. So SS thing will not be problem for you, you will notice changes on map. You have to play that way to be able to help others - thats your job!

Then finish Randuin's Omen and remember it has active ability to slow down surrounding enemies. I put it on number 4. so i can trigger it more often while escaping or chasing enemies.

If you feel endangered by AP enemy then build first Aegis Of Legion then Guardian Angel, by that time you will sell Doran's shield to make space for other items. Don't relay too much on Guardian Angel, but it is good to have it as second chance. I mean, if enemies gather around you (4-5) of them, then Guardian is useless anyway :D

Thornmail, yes it is good against all DPS enemies that will be hitting you, or you will taunt. In combinations with your shield, they will be melting down like ice.

Well ending depends. If you feel that your team is not doing well, and you have to push then go for Guinsoo's Rageblade, otherwise Banshee Vail. These are far stages of game, maybe 50 mins. So don't worry about it. You will have to sell your boots to make room for items, then buy boots again. So count another boots in price of last item. And you will not be able to buy same boots.

- you can unstealth with your taunt dash Shaco, Twitch, Teemo, Evelyn... if you know their places (in case of Teemo) or if they try to stealth in front of you while escaping
- you can stop with your taunt dash ulty casting to Nunu, Katarina, Fiddlesticks's drain and etc. All hero's that can't fight while casting their ultys
- you can defend towers very easily by dashing enemy who is attacking tower and forcing him to attack you - this will cause tower to attack him even if there are minions
- at level 15 and higher you can tank turrets

REMEMBER: You are well equipped with skills to withstand high burst damages but not for long time. So your game-play will be with a lot of escaping. But REMEMBER you are there to make distraction, like dashing enemy and leading them away from escaping friendly champion. Or dashing enemies into your team to start gank, or into tower to cause damage.
