That's what I was thinking. Still mixing it up to see how each item fits/works with Skarner's abilities. I had Rageblade early, but wasn't sure if it felt right. I'll try it again. Gonna try this path and see how it goes, then change it accordingly. Still have a lot of testing to be done. I'm also looking into cost vs. item/level. Which set would go best despite low or high gold, etc. etc.

last time I checked you didn't have a gunblade, build is okay now although you mixed up your item order, it should be tear, boots, rage blade, nashor's/gunblade, aa's and then a defensive item like bv.

It was your tone more than anything and how you wrote your comment. This is just a general guide and I don't do competitive just yet, I need a lot more practice/leveling to do. I've tried AD, I changed my runes and my build and I just didn't like all that much. With this build it's a decent hybrid that synergizes well. His E hits extremely hard when you get enough AP + his Q and the harass is almost null. I haven't tested this build out and I admit it needs a lot of work.

Sorry to get hostile, but I'm used to trolls, so It's a reflex at this point. I mainly posted it for a few friends who were interested in Skarner and it's my preferred build. I don't go Lich because I mix AP/AD and Attack Speed when I play.

Actually you're right, I'm not playing him full AP. I'm going hybrid. Notice some of the items have AD+AP or give it in some manner. The main reason I get Arch is for the huge mana gain and the AP comes in handy later. I admit I lean more towards AP, but I do pick up a tad AD. I admit the build needs work, but I'm happy with it as is. Not like I'm gonna just ignore it and not update it. This is just a work in progress.

I assume other people can take what they want from it, but I know it works fine with me. I need to do a lot more testing though.

Firstly I know, however there is an edit function in your guide for a reason. You save any work you have, work on some more and when you are completely done you release it, you don't release it halfway through lol.

Secondly, this ties in with the previous comment.

Thirdly, you play Skarner however you want to, you'll notice I didn't say play AD or gtfo, I said you might want to try AD because I prefer it over AP. You play Skarner in lane all you want too, although he only has 1 ranged harass and is pretty easy to kite, w/e. Point is you won't be getting to 1500 or above Elo anytime soon with AP non jungling Skarner.

and lastly, idk if you noticed but lich bane on Ap builds, triforce on non ap builds. it should be obvious to get lichbane over triforce when you have enough ap to outdo triforce. you also have no deathcap, but w/e, it's not like your playing skarner ap right?

Great Guide Really Detailed Good Job

Lol at people saying it's detailed? One person commented, and it's detailed research and general information. If you read it at all you'd see this is FAR from finished.

First of all, it's my first guide. It's a general guide/research, not a full blown guide yet.

Second, Those are the items I like to use, and are not going to be the final ones for the guide. I'm still working on items/build order to see how he works. I just put those to make the guide complete and avoid it getting deleted.

Third. I'll play Skarner the way I want to. I have PLENTY of toons that can jungle, and he can do just fine in a lane.

Lastly, from what I've noticed, he can hit like a truck with his E, and I'm currently working on different builds.

First, of all, lol at people saying this is a detailed guide, suggest you go look at some of the top rated guides for what detailed looks like.

Second, your not jungling, which is bad, Skarner is one of the best junglers. Thirdly you go AP which is personal preference, however I believe AD is better, and fourthly you take Triforce instead of Lichbane on an AP build, lol bad.

Danke, I still have a lot of work to do. I'm still debating item order. If you lack attack speed early, your cd's just don't refresh fast enough. I'm thinking of rushing a Stinger instead of AS. I'll test it in my next game.
